Re: Soapbox: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Helped Me Confront My Anxiety

What a fantastic piece! I'm glad to read that you feel you're in a better place. I've just come off anti depressants, having battled mental illness at work for many years. I left, full time, work last September and have had other, much less stressful jobs since. Video games have been a constant source of support, especially when playing with my children, along with tabletop games; anything which provides a distraction, for me, was welcomed. I decided to retrain as a Mental Health Nurse and start next month. All the best, Daniel. Take care.

Re: Talking Point: What Have You Bought With Your Microsoft Rewards Points?

Game pass ultimate is the thing I aim for each month. I've also bought Doom64 (ironically a few weeks before it was free on Game pass) and a lovely little game called Bomber Crew which is a real time management bombing sim?! Anyway, I've had a lot of fun playing it! In a way the rewards remind me a tiny bit of when Nintendo Club was running and there were lots of fun things to investigate.

Re: How To Complete All Xbox Game Pass Quests In 2021

@FraserG Thanks so much for this! Last month, I worked at the Microsoft Rewards and saved enough to buy my son a Sonic game, essentially for free. So this month I took the plunge and signed up with the Gamepass quests. I joined afew days ago and completed some things. I was confused why the Daily quests didn't refresh, then I noticed everything, months and weekly had vanished too. This guide should help me make the most of this month's challenges. Love Enter the Gungeon's quest. I'd never played it and had an absolute blast!

2 quick questions, if I may. 1) I assume the daily quests do reset daily!?

2) Is it realistic to aim for 12,000 points in a month? (I'm looking at Gamepass Ultimate sub).

Thanks again!

Re: Poll: What Do You Think Of The New Xbox Series X Dashboard?

dAvecaster

I've only had an xbox one for a few weeks and I find the UI has taken a bit of getting used to. I found stuff on the 360 much easier to navigate. This one looks like more xbox one and I'm sure that, by the time I get round to buying one, I'll have mastered the current one so this one will be superb!

Re: Poll: What Are Your Thoughts On Xbox Game Pass After July's Show?

I really enjoy Gamepass. I think it's great value. I don't mind that games aren't on there forever. It's very rare I play a game to completion and, if I wanted to, I could probably finish it before it left the service. Failing that, buying it, at a discount is fine. The problem I've always had with digital is that there are rarely any refunds. I've regretted buying digital, picking up a game I hated and being stuck with it. Gamepass works for me as installing something different is easy.

Re: Star Wars: Squadrons Revealed, Trailer Drops Next Week

I loved the X-Wing, series on PC. I'd really like to see a similar idea here: multiplayer squadron missions. I would happily go up against AI teams. If it is just space combat against real players, it could fall into the trap of X-Wing vs TIE Fighter where all pvp combat basically boiled down to who could fly in the tightest circle.

Re: Frontier CEO Suggests Physical Games Could "More Or Less" Go Away In 2-3 Years

@pip_muzz Yes! This is pretty much my feeling too. I also am a much more cautious buyer of digital content knowing there's no way to sell my purchase, if I don't like it (or get bored or finish it). I tend to only buy stuff digitally if it is heavily discounted. On other platforms, I've been disappointed with digital purchases so I am keen for physical to stay as long as possible.
