@Plonky I have a couple of workarounds but nothing perfect.

Either change to control style 1.1 and play like the old days. or I have a customer layout which is the new style but the d-pad strafes. at least with this on it works if you can just nudge D when running. The proof in the pudding will be the harder cheats like facility and archives.

I had a quick go of this and the switch one before work. My only negative is the strafe-run doesn't work on the new controls.

I got an X very early owing to luck. The One S went upstairs into the bedroom but the difference was night and day. Then Game did a trade the one S in for a Series S for I think £90. I went for it and have to say the S is very good. As the Bedroom TV is alot smaller the difference is really hard to see. Though the smaller storage is a bit of a pain. Had that not happened and only a single console been available I would have picked the Series X.

Resident Evil Remake on the Gamecube for me. (Or HD as it is known on the poll for some reason... oh not anymore it got fixed ).

My friend came over to stay the night and we put the Gamecube on the big TV in the living room (21"... different era!). He was about half way into the game and just met Lisa Trevor and we played up to Plant 42. Looked incredible in it's day and was unlike anything I had played before (Having never owned a Playstation). I remember him jumping out of his pyjamas when a zombie just appeared around a corner.

Luckily that was a good console to enter the series on as all of the main series got released on it in one form or another.

4 is naturally the best and I went to uni with that coming out and everyone in halls came and watched me played through it from start to end. Only about 3 of the 8 of us played games but we were all engrossed. Great memory.

I just played that through again on the Series X and it holds up.

I am new to this game, bought it at Christmas but waited for the Series X version before starting. I think in the hours I put in it has crashed once. Not anything to worry about but perhaps I got lucky.

I wonder if owners of the Series X version will be able to play the Xbox one version?

In Wales and currently locked down. Didn't get a pre-order, but hoping to wander into say Argos or Currys on the 10th, which is also the day after lockdown ends. Might be wishful thinking!

Apparently each full 3 months of EA play remaining equates to one Gamepass Ultimate month (Says somewhere on their website in FAQS).

I have gone all in with a crazy gamble, stocking up 3 years of EA Play to get a full year of Gamepass... Time will tell.
