Gamescom 2022 week continues with a six-hour official livestream from Xbox this Thursday, promising developer interviews and gameplay from a wide variety of first-party studios, as well as some third-party ones as well.
We won't blame you if you don't want to tune into the full stream, so Xbox has provided a handy schedule rundown of everything that will be highlighted during the event. Here's what you can look forward to (BST times provided):
Obviously we're hoping we might get at least one or two surprises during the day from Xbox as well, but there's been no word on anything like this as of yet, and it seems Xbox is trying to keep expectations low for this livestream in general.
In any case, we'll cover any announcements to come out of the stream here on Pure Xbox, and you'll also be able to watch all six hours of it (if you really want to!) on the website, along with the ability to chat with other PX members.
Will you be tuning in for any of this on Thursday? Let us know down in the comments below.

Was thinking they should start giving us some release dates for the following, if you go by their next 12 months announcement at the showcase, come end of December 2022 that is six months gone.
That leaves release window of Jan 2023 to June 2023. Would also give us some dates to look forward to.
Forza Motorsport
Redfall
Starfield
Welp…that’s disappointing. Personally I was hoping to see more gameplay of starfield, Forza, and redfall.
I’ll tune in to watch what the deal is with the grounded campaign. And hopefully they can sell me on Pentiment
The presence of Minecraft Legends but absence of Forza Motorsport, Redfall and Starfield makes me think that if there aren't delays out of the 12 month window that the timing is something like:
Probably have it on as background while working tomorrow
I'm not that bothered myself by Release dates. Its got to the point that I don't 'trust' or have much faith that a game will actually release on that date - especially if that 'date' is still 4months+ away and the way the world is right now, its too unpredictable to believe that 'something' will impact the Game.
What I don't want is to be given 'release' dates - even narrowing it down to a month (like Jan 23) and then it getting delayed - even if by only a 'week/month'. I'd be happy with them only given us a release date when the Game has gone Gold (or expecting to in a week or two). Its not as if there isn't anything to play until those games arrive and I know a 'release' date doesn't make the game come any quicker or change the 'future' for us consumers. We were expecting these games in the future and will still 'expect' those games after this - still have to wait!
New announcements are not 'necessary' in my eyes. It's nice to know what Studios are working on, but that also then leads to 'demands' from gamers demanding 'news, info, release dates, game play video's etc as well as them building up their own 'expectations/wants/desires' that ultimately end in disappointment as the game is the game the Creative lead wanted it to be. They maybe better off just knuckling down and announcing the game only when it and they are 'ready' to show actual game play and tell gamers what it is and what to expect - then release within a year to stop dragging things out over 'years'...
Lies of P is the event I'm looking forward to most. Its the game that hadn't been on my Radar until yesterday so now I'm interested to find out more. The other events are either games I'm not interested in or games that I don't 'need' more info on. That's not to say I won't watch any of them out of curiosity, but not necessarily 'live'...
I couldn’t sit through 6 hours of devs talking about games I like and showing gameplay, let alone this. I’m interested in Pentiment, Plague Tale and High on Life but I’ll just catch the clips when they’re put online.
Not looking good for Goldeneye!
Wasn't this meant to be 6 hours long? I can't see the Age of Empires section taking up 55 minutes...
I really wanted 20 minutes of gameplay of Redfall. The more I see and hear about that game, the more excited I get.
Jeez, I was hoping they’d have some surprises, but this doesn’t scream to me “you must watch this.” I’ll flip on the Lana segment… and that’s it. Hope there’s surprises. Please let this just be a guideline.
@BrilliantBill Actually I do now you mention it! But I'm still going to hope that the extra time is there for some surprises.
would be nice to see what they've got to show for Sea of Thieves but I guess it'll just be a recap of what's going on in season 7.
