@Generik I think you're right on the money. I also think that this guy is wrong in thinking that discs are going away; I still buy disks and copy them when I need them for the sake portability. In a home, I don't need to remove disks because I have plenty of space too put in a shelf.
Ah, nobody here has said anything that wasn't said 10 years ago. All things considered, none of these look like console sellers. @moomoo more like I'm allowed to say meh to the 1995 luxury car in my neighbor's driveway. I think just about all the spokespeople could be said to be cocky. Anyway, this doesn't seem like really deep news
So, we wouldn't even be able to use the sets we already own? I've heard people using Kinect for a headset. It picks up a lot of feedback from the TV since it's right below it. Maybe they've fixed this time to isolate the player's voice but I doubt it's perfect. Maybe Bluetooth headsets still work?
Thank you! You really don't see development in the peripherals department unless you know it's standard. It's kinda like the Wii motion plus, it'll be standard now in WiiU with it built in but until now it was rare.
well you didn't read the first half of my comment. Also you don't seem to see the benefits of Kinect integrated into games like skyrim and Mass effect 3
@Therad Do you mean in comparing it from PS4 or Xbox 360? PS4 will include a 4k resolution which means that it's about as implemented as hdmi-cec. $100 for an included Kinect that will integrate with the machine and allow for development of sound input based games. (if it's not standard, it's not used) With that monthly fee (just like playstation) we have way more servers allowing for bigger matches. Honestly, I don't see what warrants $400 for PS4; a lot of their press conference showed games available on Xbox One.
Web outage for 12 hours wouldn't stop gameplay anymore than on other consoles. If you're signed in, they'll keep track from there. I'm speaking from spending the latter half (in the 2000s) of my childhood on dialup and an area where we didn't have options. Now we have satellite with 512 a day. I could check in on that and isn't the point of a place away from home to disconnect from technology.
As far as restricted, I can play the games of my brother halfway across the country without even meeting him.
How dare they take our extra money! Gamestop deserves to take in all the revenue for the games they built. They only took a few weeks to build anyway. Hardly anyone in the US has an internet connection that can stand to connect once a day.
Obviously I'm being sarcastic; didn't see a playstation exclusive that impressed me. Go on congratulating that company that supposedly created console social networking, second screen gaming, online gaming, and motion gaming. Yeah just keep listening to them telling us that they've come up with everything which is almost as the internet, al gore's invention.
@Dave123 I feel the same way. It really deserves better but I would have already bought it if Kinect by itself only costed $100. Now hopefully many more people buy Kinect.

You mean like a fridge?
Re: Microsoft Announces Kinect-Free Xbox One
I think if I get an xbone it'll still be with Kinect. I don't see another big difference it and the xbox 360.
Re: Microsoft Unveils Kinect v2 for Windows

Re: Xbox One Will Support Eight Controllers at Once
I could see it used for some off screen play like via smartglass or even a second tv though.

Is the campaign co-op?
Re: Xbox 360 to Xbox One Season Pass Guarantee Launched
This is good to hear. I'm liking this site before it's cool to be liked
Re: Your Xbox One Won't Require Kinect - At All
seems tempting to me but I still need a deal maker game for me to upgrade. Good feature though!
Re: Mattrick to Leave Microsoft, Join Zynga?
he seems good at making people unhappy, he's perfect for zynga!
Re: Developers Can Now Patch Their Xbox 360 Games...For Free!
Fez is actually the first thing that came to mind when I saw the title. Hope this means they fix that and then I'd be happy to pick that up!

I kinda wish they had kept the family policy

Re: Yes, You Can Plug Your Xbox 360 Into Your Xbox One
Does this mean you could use the new Kinect in conjunction with the old xbox?
Re: Xbox One Family Policy Clarified...Sort Of
Seems like an easier sharing method than Sony showed in their commercial

Re: PS4 Trouncing Xbox One in Amazon Versus Poll
judging from the preorders, it's even. This just shows that more playstation fans use facebook or share the poll when they're winning.

Yeah, their system is good and ignore the flame wars that go on.
Re: Feature: Unveiling 720 - What Microsoft Needs to Do
If EA sports went exclusive with xbox it would workout. The gamers on xbox would probably appreciate it and it would help fill their niche
