I feel like even if Xbox offered 5 million and sony offered 3 million SE would still choose sony, cause they always worked with them, they have a bigger install base and both are japanese...etc xbox getting ff16 would be so awkward, they need to get plenty of square titles as exclusives, just give them a crazy high number they can't turn down
the reason why analysts say it'll close by May 2023 is because the CMA is the hardest and most stubborn regulator and their decision is gonna be in April, once the CMA approves the deal the rest will follow, EU has same views as CMA, the FTC is a nobody, by looking at the provisional findings the CMA looks ready to accept remedies from Microsoft, they chose to offer remedies instead of blocking the deal altogether, great great news for Xbox. CMA will approve the deal, New Zealand will be the first to follow then the EU and after that nobody will care about the FTC. Microsoft has a nuclear bomb called "the federal court" and FTC really doesn't wanna push Microsoft into using it
