Yes, heckin' please. I too only gave the series a shot due to gamepass, and was pretty sure I'd hate it. Turns out I love them and Yakuza 0 made me shed actual tears. Brilliant.
@101Force What's worse, while complaining he admits he doesn't know how it works. So he's disconnected and uninformed. No right to complain from any front it seems.
@StonyKL Having played the OG LN & a variety of soulsbourne games I agree with this completely.
I'd say the big difference for me is that in a soulslike game, you become a better play through trial and error. And how you play and the end of the game differs wholly from how you started, simply due to your experience. Great game design, as the currency XP isn't truly needed for you to feel your character has grown.
In little nightmares however (& games like it) you don't really grow, as the experiences are largely tied to the level itself. Any resultant trial & error (with some exceptions, but for the most part) will only help you with the puzzle at hand, and you will always find yourself dying through no fault of your own up to the end.
@PhhhCough That said, I truly enjoyed Little Nightmares, but its brand of trial and error yields a very different type of experience which can certainly be frustrating at times.
I kind of liked the stort not being bound to the history. As long as they don't lock themselves into a predetermined box I'm cool with it.
Though it feels like they'd already committed to the reboot, so why not accept the creative freedom that comes with it?
@NotoriousWhiz I disagree. Gamepass can be sustainable and there would still be good reason to try and increase profits elsewhere: Shareholders.
Companies will often give up goodwill or make bizarre choices as far as consumers/employees are concerned in order to get a boost in stock price or give standard/activist shareholders what they are looking for.
I think this is more about Microsoft being a publically traded company than about the profitablity of any particular facet of their XBox business
@UltimateOtaku91 I totally agree, though I would amend to say die hard fans (regardless of system) do it. I would then extend to say this is not unique to video games.
People don't like to see the faults in their own side (whatever that may be) but are all too keen to point out the faults or celebrate the failures of their "enemies".
Thanks to various internet echo chambers this feels like it's only exacerbated in the last couple decades
When 7 reminded me of the 1st Resident Evil in many ways, this one has a much stronger feeling of 4. It's cool that they're owning the series roots with these latest entries.
Has the multiplayer in Resistance been fixed yet? Matchmaking was so broken it was unplayable around launch, which was a bummer as I was quite excited for it
@Fath @WesEds That said, I lived in the US on the Canadian border for some time, & I actually did have a few Canadian friends who sported the denim jeans with denim jacket look on the regular. Not saying this is the national norm, but I did appreciate it at the time
@TheLightSpirit never argued against the fact. Still not an excuse to use such words in polite conversation, which I like to think is what we're having here.
@TheLightSpirit doesnt mean you need to encourage it. If you were swearing around my children I would ask you to stop. Generally speaking I don't see why the rules should change because you're on the internet.
@DannyHolland911 last I new FFVII was only a timed exclusive, as with kingdom hearts before it, so I imagine we'll see it as some point, but probably not until a year after initial release
Looked it up just to check myself, not overly worried as my findings seem to jive with what I was expecting
"Piers Harding-Rolls stated on Twitter he had been told by Sony the game was "six months full exclusive and 12 months console exclusive", suggesting it would arrive on PC half a year after PS5, and be free to launch elsewhere after a full year."
@JayJ Agree to disagree then. I'm largely in the same boat as Kefka, but he's a lot more eloquent then me. I'm not trying to say graphics are the only thing at play here, and I'm not thinking about it as a gamer, but in the specific instance of this stock and the validity of a lawsuit from shareholders. Not trying to press buttons, sorry
@JayJ Not at all, but it is misleading to not show footage for a console version of a game and let the market assume it looks like what you've shown.
Not trying to press buttons and if you like the game, that's great, just saying I think the lawsuit has weight. As I said earlier, my profession is in the stock market so it's hard not to look at it from an investor angle

Re: Crash Bandicoot 4 Is Getting An Xbox Series X Version This March
Gotta love smart delivery.
And that the upgrade is free. Interested in MLB the show, can't bring myself to spend $70 for the S/X version..

Not on here, but I'll always be a fan of the original Mutant League Football. Never played Mutant Football League.

@Terrin Ah, gotcha. That's a bummer
Re: Judge Agrees To Pull Xbox Controller Drift Lawsuit Out Of Court
@Terrin Did you reach out to Microsoft? They gave me a brand new Elite 2 for free and kept my dud. I ended up with 2 sets of attachments as a result

Re: How To Claim 2000 Extra Microsoft Points On Xbox In February
I always feel obligated to donate points when they give me some and then match. It's their dime, so it just feels wrong to keep it.
I just cashed in for a $100 gift card anyway so it's not like I'm hurting for points

Re: Original Xbox Creator Praises Microsoft Following Xbox Live Gold Price Reversal
@Kingleo31 Agreed, I'm seeing theories that this was a PR stunt, but realistically this cost them more goodwill that it earned them

Nice! And free too. Still a bit salty about the full price upgrade fpor Devil May Cry 5. A bit of good will goes a long way.
Re: Remember When Xbox Threatened To Delist Games With Poor Metacritic Scores?
It's behavior like this that made me avoid the consoles for so long. Way to turn it around though, as I'm a big fan now.

@jaysquared2 you may have to uninstall/reinstall a few times. Worth it since the first 800 points only take about 15 minutes
@flawse it's in the rewards app on xbox, or the rewards site for microsoft. Here's the link for it

@themightyant I just got flustered and quit, enough fun alternatives to get points with
Re: Guide: Easy Achievements For The 10K Microsoft Rewards Challenge
One leaves takes about 2 hours (largely for the final 200 points)
Re: Guide: Easy Achievements For The 10K Microsoft Rewards Challenge
I cannot for the life of me take a picture in rec room, so I only got about 400 points
