@isturbo1984 The in-game currency has been in there from the very start. So called credits you can buy with real money to then buy cosmetics in the in--game store.
What 343 is patching in, is the ability to earn those credits through gameplay and progression, so you eventually can get some of the store cosmetics without having to spend money on it, this being something the community has asked for...and something that's already common in other online games.
Kudos, indeed. I don't even know if some Achievements didn't pop that should have...I was too busy enjoying this awesome game. Usually, I don't like rogue likes, but Hades hooked me hard. Love it!
@Chaudy I've been playing all day on Series X. I had 1 crash to the dash where I had to reload the game. Other than that, no issues. The game is breathtaking at times.
I preordered the game, but seeing the abysmal state the game was in around launch, I stopped playing and decided to wait.
It was running okayish on my Series X, but I ultimately decided to wait for the full fledged Series X upgrade, hoping that by then the game will be mostly bug free.
I got a refund. By the time the Series X upgrade launches, I'm sure the game will be discounted...I'm not willing to support developers anymore that launch a broken game at full price and fix it while it's in the customers hands...not even if it's CDPR.
Everything is just so quick, fluid am stable. The games just look super crisp and vibrant and run at a rock solid 60 or even 120 fps (I'm lucky enough to have an LG C9 65" OLED). It's just glorious. And you don't realize how amazing quick resume is until some games don't support it.
But if I had to pick one thing that really stands out so far, it's the load times. Results are different, obviously, but Subnautica took about 2 minutes to load on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X...and now takes 15 seconds. It's insane!
I had a PS4, then a Pro since their respective launch and loved them, but found then awfully loud and the durability of the controllers and the consoles disappointing.
Decided to get a One X in April, got three years of Gold for about 150,- € and upgraded it to GP Ultimate for one Euro...and never looked back.
I find GP an amazing value, even before Zenimax and EA Play and the volume and build quality of the One X vastly superior.
So I now have a Series X on preorder and can't wait. I'll probably get a PS5 at some point for the exclusives, but not in the next 2 years or so and before some hardware revisions. Also, with their strong commitment of carrying over and even improving my library, Xbox will most likely stay my main/multiplat system in the future.
Yes, I got my Series X preorder confirmed. I'm in Berlin, Germany and decided to go for the MS online store, as I was hopeful that it would at least eventually work. Which it did. Eventually. After loading forever and crashing inbetween, MS processed my order and I got my confirmation email at 9:17 (preorders started here at 9:00).
All in all, an experience with a good ending, but I've shed some sweat, let me tell you! Hope everyone gets theirs as well!

@Kezelpaso I think it's "per se", not "per say".

@SpacemanJupiter @Enigmaraff Populous? Ultima? Some real connoisseurs among us, I see... 😊
Would love those. Or Dead Space, please!
