It seems more changes are on the way to Halo Infinite multiplayer. In an update from 343's head of design, Jerry Hook, it's been confirmed Credits will be earnable in Season 2's Battle Pass - following ongoing community feedback.
Credits are in-game currency that can be used to purchase shop items and consumables. Here's the full message from the head of design:
"Thanks to your continued feedback, we are happy to confirm Credits will be earnable in Season 2’s Battle Pass. That means you will be able to earn Credits as part of your Halo Infinite progression. We’ll have more to share on this as we get closer to Season 2."
Over on Halo Waypoint, 343 followed up on the hotfix from earlier this week. Now that it's reduced prices of its weekly bundles on the shop, next week it will have individual items that start to appear on their own.
Last but not least, it's following through with a request to remove Challenges that require Big Team Battle, while it's still trying to resolve issues associated with this mode. This change will come into effect next Tuesday when Weekly Challenges roll over.
The team also mentioned how it would continue to test and experiment for the rest of the season, in order to improve the experience:
"We will be trying new things throughout the rest of the season so that we can continue to learn and improve for the future. Please keep the feedback coming during this process."
Are you looking forward to being able to earn credits in Season 2? Leave your thoughts down below.

About time someone is listening.
For Information
ARGOS has Series X in stock to collect in store.
One catch they have gone down the bundle route
Very naughty Argos tut tut, scalpers.
However last time they did this, after some hours they started releasing the console to buy on its own.
Good Luck.
Congratulations to everyone providing constructive critisism and bringing change
This is why it is always OK to voice your opinion aslong as its not toxic. Without the feedback there would be no change
Ahh... the ol' Let's-Not-Release-Our-Game-With-An-In-Game-Currency-Then-Patch-It-In-After-Reviews-Go-Up-Hoping-Nobody-Notices Technique. I guess Microsoft has more in common with Activision than I thought.
@Sakai
No. ALL criticism is valid. Some may not be nice. But to dismiss criticism because it doesn't plead on its knees is echo chamber nonsense. It's a business. Gamers are customers. If people aren't buying a product because people are upset, they better listen. Grandstanding, demanding everyone be nice is not doing them favors. And gatekeeping the feedback space by demanding people do such isn't doing them favors either.
@isturbo1984 it is entirely possible to get your opinion across without being toxic and insulting, amazing I know. Being a decent human being costs nothing
@Sakai No need to get offended and be sarcastic. We're talking about two different things here. You are arguing that insulting and toxic behavior isn't optimal, and pretending I don't know that. I am arguing that simply being nice is not a prerequisite for giving criticism. Perhaps your use of the word "toxic" is what is confusing things. If you mean insulting and name calling, then why not just say that? You made it sound like any negative criticism should be thrown out. You didn't' exactly refute that. Is that your stance, that if one is simply rude or harsh, then that criticism is no longer valid?
Also, to further my original point. Just give an example: I recently beat Cyber Shadow before it left Game Pass. And while I was giving my own glowing review on the Xbox console itself... there were quite a bit of 1-star reviews. Most of them read the same. They were quite rude and insulting. I discounted their criticism, but NOT because they were being "toxic," but because the absolute clowns clearly played one level of the entire game, noped out because it was too hard, then proceeded to give their opinion that the game and the developer's works was a one-star quality. And to juxtopose, there are plenty of polite opinions that follow suite and aren't valid for a verity of reasons as well. Likewise, politeness/toxicity isn't among the reason why. So true in both cases. What say you?

No mate my original post was welcoming the changes, as now we can earn credits from the battlepass. Whereas before you could only get them from buying them. I was also praising the community for the feedback they provided as it improves the game for us all. The toxic bit was about all the death threats etc 343 recieved, which was just ridiculous
It’s not like there has been a popular game out for the last 3 years with a Battle Pass mechanic they could have just copied wholesale from.
@isturbo1984 The in-game currency has been in there from the very start. So called credits you can buy with real money to then buy cosmetics in the in--game store.
What 343 is patching in, is the ability to earn those credits through gameplay and progression, so you eventually can get some of the store cosmetics without having to spend money on it, this being something the community has asked for...and something that's already common in other online games.
Some nice changes here. I was fine with the way it was but these sound cool too. I'm more interested in when we will see some new maps though. Loving that Attrition mode though!
I wonder if this will end up the 'Blueprint' for CoD MP in the future - learn from this and implement something similar for CoD...
@Sakai Backpedaling, cool. You didn't say any of that in your original post. But I won't push further. Anyway, BIG GIANT FREAKING difference between being insulting and threatening someone's life. Probably why I was so confused when you labeled it all as "toxic." But I agree, death threats are not okay. I was unaware of these threats. Anyone want to provide a link so I can see them? Also... nice stealth reply.
@Reverend_Skeeve I see. Makes sense. For someone who hasn't played Infinite, the article sounded like it was adding an additional currency system to me.
@isturbo1984 Hoping nobody notices? I don't know about you but people were getting pretty heated about this stuff. I'm just glad they're actually listening, many don't.
@isturbo1984 backpeddling? No, I even copied my original post so you could read it again. What's a stealth reply?
@Sakai Reverend clued me in. I thought Microsoft was implementing an additional in-game currency. But my reply to you was all about a different topic entirely. Specifically your bullshine on discounting all criticism as being toxic. You obviously have no interest in the subject. I've asked many questions you ignore and requested you provide a source on the death threats. Clearly you have no interest in talking about it after being called out. That's fine. Just not sure why you keep coming back just to change the subject.
@dont_simp_for_them I hope so.
@isturbo1984 I never once discounted all critisism as being toxic. I praised the critisms for improving the game. I'm really not sure what you are even talking about now. Called out on what? Congratulating the community and condoning death threats?
@Sakai Okay, so there is my answer 4 replies later. Like pulling teeth. But for the record, yes you did. I asked you flat out several times about it. With every opportunity, you tried changing the subject instead of answering any of my many inquiries. Now 4 replies later you feign ignorance. You are lying. Probably why you tried to change the subject so many times. Next time, if you don't want to reply, then don't reply. Or if you realized your toxicity comment was stupid, admit it. Or have the spine to stand by your original statement. But don't lie and play games. Not fun.
@isturbo1984 This is getting very strange and it's probably best if you just ignore my posts from now on. Your incoherent ramblings are boring now. Iv explained my point several times, it wasn't even a complicated post. I even clarified my point to you and still you continue to hijack the thread calling me out on things I didn't even say. It's just wierd at this point. I have no interest in discussing this further with you. Enjoy your day mate

Let's move on from this now, please.
This is a good opportunity to remind everyone to read up on the Pure Xbox Community Rules — you can access them via a link below the comments text box. Debate is fine and encouraged, but please ensure it remains "polite and respectful" and doesn't get too heated... if it's going that way, I advise simply walking away from the discussion and agreeing to disagree.
Thanks all 👍
