Re: Random: Xbox And Halo Fans Want Smash Bros. To 'Finish The Fight' With Master Chief

RazputinAquato

@UltimateOtaku91 the original Banjo Kazooie is coming to Nintendo Switch Online library of N64 games. I think that's the reason why Phil had a Switch on his shelf and the stuff MS and Nintendo were discussing, that we learnt about from the Epic Games trial.

@RavenWolfe81 he wrote that in Japanese. Master Chief is probably not very well known in Japan.

That said, I don't think it will be 117. My guess is Waluigi. Fans are asking for him for a long time and he's not that well known, since he doesn't have his own game.

Re: These 10+ Games Are Coming To Xbox Next Week (October 5-8)

RazputinAquato

What a great week, with both Alan Wake and Far Cry 6 releasing! And so the barrage of fall blockbusters has begun...

I was very excited about Far Cry 6, but I recently started State of Decay 2 and I'm completely addicted to it!

I played SoD 1 for a while and I thought it was nice, but I never expected to become so enthralled with the sequel.

That means I won't be buying Far Cry 6 day one, I can wait for a price drop. SoD 2 will keep me entertained for a while.

Re: Rumour: Hellblade 2 Is 'Planned' To Be Shown At The Game Awards 2021

RazputinAquato

@Chaudy I would expect Starfield to be featured heavily at E3 2022, I don't believe we will have any major updates before that.

@BrilliantBill I'm not a Playstation hater, on the contrary, I loved Spiderman, The Last of Us Pt. 2, Bloodborne, Uncharted 4... but I just can't get myself to enjoy God of War, "the greatest game of all time"® according to IGN. It's an okay game with repetitive combat, some annoying levels and yet another daddy issues story.

Re: Halo Infinite's Technical Preview Is Now Live For All Xbox Insiders

RazputinAquato

@GamingFan4Lyf well, most of the concerns about the campaign were about the graphics. Do you think the campaign will look much different from the multiplayer? Because it looks very good to me, and I'm playing on the Xbox Series S. I wouldn't complain about seeing how Craig looks like today, but I'm not very concerned about the campaign looking bad right now.

Re: Halo Infinite's Technical Preview Is Now Live For All Xbox Insiders

RazputinAquato

@GamingFan4Lyf even if there was a preview of the single player, do you believe it would be enough to address your concerns?

The demo would necessarily cover only a small fraction of the campaign, so it would not dissipate the concerns about it being bad.

And the multiplayer preview already lets us have a taste of the core gameplay that we will enjoy in the campaign.

I think what would build confidence in the single player campaign ahead of launch is early reviews with good scores.

Re: Rumour: Hellblade 2 Is 'Planned' To Be Shown At The Game Awards 2021

I hope they show some gameplay this time around. I'm eager to see how Ninja Theory improved on the combat.

I believe this game could be due to 2022, since other than the Bethesda titles and Forza Motorsport, there is no other Xbox Game Studios title that seems likely to release next year.

I think Fable, Perfect Dark, State of Decay 3 and Avowed are all scheduled for 2023 or later.

Re: PlayStation Acquires Metal Gear Solid HD Dev BluePoint Games

RazputinAquato

@BlueOcean I don't know why people assume that Google gave up on gaming because they closed their 1st party team. Maybe they just changed their strategy and decided to purchase a major publisher, instead of building their own from the ground up.

We haven't heard any news from Stadia recently, hence you could be right, maybe they're cutting their losses... or maybe they are the ones who are actually buying Take-Two and we will know about it once the deal is done.

Re: Talking Point: Is Xbox Missing Out By Leaving The Superheroes To PlayStation?

RazputinAquato

@RadioHedgeFund
I was about to say the exact same thing. Master Chief is a supersoldier in a high-tech armor, kind of Capitain America + Ironman. Kratos is an invincible god with a bad temper, like Thor + Wolverine. Corvo Attano manipulates magic, mind, matter, space and time like five or six different X-men combined...

What people are asking for are licensed superheroes, and in that point I'll have to agree with Jez Corden: it costs money and you lose freedom on telling the story that you want with the gameplay elements that you want.

Re: Uh-Oh, Images Of Xbox Exclusive Redfall Appear To Have Leaked Online

RazputinAquato

I've just watched the GT7 trailer in order to see what the fuss is all about and there are litterally a handful of frames that lack detail and look a bit off. It reminds me of the Craig situation.

I'm sure GT7 will look awesome. And so will Redfall - but I'm not very keen on looter shooters, I was expecting Arkane's usual fare of immersive sims.

Re: Pick One: Which Of These Is Your Favourite Dishonored Game?

RazputinAquato

I haven't played Death of the Outsider yet. My favorite out of the two numbered games is the first one, but I enjoyed Dishonored 2 as well.

I wish Arkane would try an open world Dishonored 3. Not a huge game like the moder Assassin's Creeds, I just want a more open sandbox where I can traverse seamlessly through the city an do most missions in any order I want.

Re: Roundup: Here's What The Critics Are Saying About Psychonauts 2

RazputinAquato

@LordMonkfish I actually agree with you. Xbox has been underwhelming in the matter of 1st party games for a while. Other than Forza Horizon, the only Xbox games that could be regarded as some of the best of last generation are the Ori games - which are not exclusives, since they're both on Switch - and maybe Sunset Overdrive, whose developers are now owned by Sony.

I really hope Microsoft will step up their game this time around.

Re: Hades Soars Over Flight Sim As Metacritic's Highest-Rated Xbox Game Of 2021

RazputinAquato

@Hurblyburbly Spelunky is a roguelike, because there isn't any progression (well, not really, there are shortcuts, but they're not worth it), in order to beat the game you have to "git gud". Hades is a roguelite, because you unlock progression that can make further runs easier, so if you persevere enough, you most likely will beat the game eventually.

Either way, my tip for either roguelikes or roguelites is to keep trying. Enjoy the journey. It's not for everyone but if you're into it, just keep going. Those games are infinitely relayable.

For hades specifically, I suggest you try using the shield. It makes the game so much easier... so far I've beaten the game four times. In three of them I used the shield.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 21-22)

RazputinAquato

I'm hooked on Hades. I've escaped twice, both using the shield (aspect of chaos). Now I'm trying to beat it with the other weapons.

Achievements are still kind of broken in this game, though. I only unlocked the cheevo for beating the game after my second successful run, even after quitting quick resume and powering down my xbox.

Re: Reaction: Xbox Needs To Do Something About Its User Review System

RazputinAquato

Instead of using any classicifation system, I think Xbox should copy Netflix and just recommend games to you based on the data they have about what kind of games and themes you enjoy.

They could keep the 5-star classification or a thumbs up/thumbs down, not to display reviews publicly, but rather to use them as an input for their recommendation algorithms.
