He makes a great case for why they should bow out of the console market, while proclaiming they'll keep making consoles. This is the awkward era, I suppose. I'll be upgrading my PC and sticking with Nintendo. Sony and MS will figure their consoleless futures out soon enough.
Absolutely amazing. You mean they released that Amazon Firestick addition without a plan? Incredible. And do they plan on giving Cloud gamers Day One games, do you think? Us console owners who spent ~$500 for a Series X are second class to them, so I wouldn't be surprised if Cloud gamers get better benefits.
Meanwhile they're also letting their lead marketer cry about no budget, while still creating special edition consoles and controllers they refuse to sell. Instead they keep doing sweepstakes and it doesn't seem like any winners really come out and announce they won anywhere. So I'm not sure what the point is for them. Fantastic. And after spending $70B for a major group of studios? Brilliant job.
It's almost fascinating to watch a gaming console company that's been in the game this long fumble and mess up every step of the way, this gen. I may buy their games (I can't say no to Doom) but I will never trust Xbox enough to buy another console from them. They've completely burnt their brand to the ground, imo. Go third party or go PC.
Never been one to play a game anything like Starfield, nor really a Bethesda fan in general. But I dove into Starfield eager to see the planets. At some point in my first ng+, New Atlantis sort of crumbled as major textures no longer loaded in. I thought it was funny, turns out it was part of a known game-breaking bug. I ignored it and kept going hoping the big patch would fix it. But my main mission had already stopped progressing, and it was no longer giving me temples to find. So 534 hours into Starfield and I finally gave up hope because I'm unwilling to start over on a game shipped to us as broken as this. Really disappointed, but can't deny I got my money's worth out of it.
I'm sorry but raising the full price of games and then setting solo campaigns up as online-only is ridiculous. Why expect us to pay full price to own a game when they're only selling them as rentals, essentially? Forget it. I'm already not planning to give Redfall any of my attention due to this scheme. Suicide Squad's also an instant hard pass. No sense bothering as I won't even want to look at their shops, battle passes, deluxe additions or DLC expansions if the game's completely unplayable after a year.

@Titntin They did make a new game (Starfield). And it was still compared to their earlier work.
