Truthfully, I think they should have released this separately without the heartrate monitor for more casual fitness folk, though it is good to be able to see your heart rate change during the workout. At $50 it's a solid recommendation; at $100 less so!

Thanks for your kind comments everyone. To be honest I'm not sure EA could have given you such flexibility over your workout without resorting to a pad to get everything organised - it's just so much quicker and easier.

Next stop, getting fit with Mel B!

Re: Review: The Biggest Loser: Ultimate Workout (Xbox 360)

Hey lukeylukey

My EA Sports Active 2 just turned up today so I haven't had chance to use it yet, and Jon covered Your Shape so I haven't had chance to try it. Biggest Loser has good exercises, plus the customisation of workouts is good and would help you if you want to do overall fitness work.

I'm hoping to have EA Sports Active 2 reviewed within the next week so watch this space!

Welcome, Pinkarrow! It seems a shame you can't access harder songs without being ace at the first ones - I guess that's why Harmonix has already released the DLC!

I saw a new video of Child of Eden the other day and it looks incredible. I'm a massive Rez fan and this will be the next evolution of a great concept.

As for Project Draco, it looks like Panzer Dragoon but in HD. Sold.

Re: GameStop Expects Kinect to Triumph in Motion Controller Wars

I agree - Kinect isn't going to overtake Wii in like-for-like sales. Considering it's cost countless millions to develop, and the marketing budget alone is $500m, my maths tells me it'll need to sell approximately one hundred billion units to break even. That's a lot of units!

Re: US Survey Puts Kinect as "Big Christmas Winner"

James

Bingo. I also know plenty of people who have struggled to find suitable games for their partners and children to play on 360, and now Kinect is here it's a great way to get them involved. 360 will still have great hardcore games like it always did, but now people can get up and move as well. Everybody wins!
