Re: So Long, And Thanks for All the Clicks

Anthinator

I just got home from work and I'm reading through all of these comments and getting a bit teary-eyed. It's been a pleasure bringing each and every one of you the Xbox news you crave whether it be a simple news post or a review I stayed up late working on. I'm still new to this games journalism thing and I'm very appreciative of everyone that read my work, whether you liked it or not.

Re: Review: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan (Xbox One)

@KelticDevil It seems to me that Platinum is composed of an A team and a B team, with the latter developing licensed games like this and Transformers: Devastation. These games — while not up to the standards of Bayonetta and Vanquish — probably sell well and generate enough income for them to make their AAA games.

Re: Rocket League Release Date Finally Confirmed for Xbox One

Anthinator

@Tasuki I agree, I don't really understand why it isn't possible. I find it odd that previous games like Shadowrun and #IDARB supported cross-platform play with PC players. When Fable Legends comes out, it will also have the support. So why can't Rocket League?

I hope that a future update will allow this.

Re: Review: Resident Evil 0 (Xbox One)

@VanillaLake Thanks for reading the review but you stating that my opinion is factually inaccurate is a little silly. As Ken already stated, I wrote that I felt like the game doesn't provide a satisfactory answer to the mysteries. That's my own opinion. If you feel otherwise, then good on you. The same goes for the scare factor. I've played every RE but aside from a few moments, I don't think 0 is all that scary.

An 8/10 on the Pure Xbox scale is still considered "Great" and I enjoy and recommend this game very much. If you believe it's a 9, then that's awesome too and I'm sure there's some that would say it's a 10! That's what's so cool about video games; there's usually something for everybody.

Re: Out Today: Gears of War: Ultimate Edition (Xbox One)

Anthinator

@JaxonH I'll clear it up for you. This is a remaster of Gears of War 1 with updated graphics, 60 fps and the extra content from the PC version. It has all new cutscenes too!

However, for a limited time, those who buy this will receive the Xbox 360 digital Gears of War games (1, 2, 3, Judgement). These will be playable via backwards compatibility on your Xbox One!

Edit: oh, looks like someone beat me to it! Ah well, now you know!

Re: Rare Replay Installation is One of the Largest On Xbox One

Anthinator

@jbrewer99 it's confusing I know, but I'll try to clear it up.

On the disc alone is every Rare game released before 2005 and that takes up 11.26GB. When you buy the physical copy and insert it into your console you'll also get the digital licenses to every Rare Xbox 360 game and these will be added to your download queue.

I guess it wasn't possible to fit everything on one disc so they're making the 360 games download only. You really shouldn't be able to tell when you play the game.

Re: Feature: From Worst to First, We Rank the Batman: Arkham Games

Anthinator

After playing Arkham Knight, I find it hard to go back to Asylum despite it still being an incredible game. Knight just polishes and refines everything that came before it, and adds a slew of new features. Perhaps because it's still so fresh in my mind, I'd have to give Knight the #1 position, followed by City, Asylum, Origins, and Blackgate.
