Awesome to see Vanillaware having a game coming to Xbox. Maybe we’ll get some ports of older games in their catalog someday.
Surprised the new Star Ocean doesn’t seem to be coming. That series honestly hasn’t been great in a while anyway so don’t have high hopes for it.
Noticed the Square Enix's new SaGa title is coming to everything other than Xbox 😪. So much for Xbox getting to enjoy future titles when possible.
The more Atlus puts games on Xbox the more I am convinced Persona 6 will be on Xbox too.
@Darylb88 Shin Megami Tensei V port would be a nice addition that really needs to happen.
@cragis0001 Square Enix is piss who cares?
@Cashews love them or hate them? Even with a new CEO there happy to piss off there fans on a whole platform. No wonder they lost nearly 2 billion in value. At least we have Atlus 👍
@Darylb88 I have no doubt that Persona 6 with as many Persona games have been ported and others on the way.
What makes me more excited about this one is that it’s a Vanillaware title (Atlas is just publishing). Pretty sure it’s the first. Their games are awesome!
@Kaloudz aye I said the same on Facebook earlier. That if Square Enix don't show anything, or just show Final Fantasy 14 beta news at Xbox's Tokyo Gameshow reel then nothing has really changed to get xbox users to invest in Square Enix titles.
Dear god, that Contra looks ATROCIOUS!
@Echtzeit Soulless and ugly.
Hopefully they did some work on the gameplay of tomb Raider. I replayed the first one last year and that was pretty rough to get through. Visuals were the least of my concerns.
@Amigator @Echtzeit No clue what you guys talking about. This game looks fantastic. Also, its WayForward making it! They have a fantastic track record with side-scrolling games. Honestly looking forward to this Contra, and hopefully it does well enough to get them more Contra contracts.
@Tharsman It reminds me of Shadow Complex, which wasn't exactly pretty, even for it's time. I don't think the 3d graphics suit the contra series.
@Cashews I'd settle for SMT III Nocturn HD on Xbox if Nintendo doesn't wanna give up SMT V exclusivity yet.
Hyped for Contra and Suik- I mean Eiyuuden.
Damn, was hoping one of the games that'd be coming to everything would be Dave the Diver. : (
@shoeses i never read Nintendo had full rights on SMTV. I just assumed Atlus went there because that is where the units were.
I've played, loved and beaten the game - I just want as many people to play it as possible. it's the best in the series imo.
@Cashews They Published it for the PAL Region so I'd assume they have some form of say over it.
2 of my favorites announcements from the direct are funnily enough also on xbox. Tomb Raider and Contra. That was a rough direct if im being honest.
@shoeses good point.
Y’all better roll the red carpet out for Vanillaware. They ain’t never been here before, and we want them to come back or at least I do
@Cashews @shoeses published doesn’t meant rights. Nintendo published OT outside of Japan. It still came to Xbox. It really depends on a lot of things a far as rights go.
@Kaloudz Id do the same but FF14 is so good & still hoping there games come to Xbox. I'm so weak lol.
@mousieone That's why I said just a say in it, not control.
@shoeses they still really wouldn’t though. You think Nintendo had a say in whether Square could port OT1 to Xbox? Their answer would have been no. Same with DQ11S BTW
There are a ton of games like that.
@mousieone k
@Kaloudz I went off japanese single player RPGs a while back but still played FF11 & 14 but now can't get enough of them. It's getting the time to play them now I have kids booo lol.
@Kaloudz they are indeed. I remember the golden age of FF7, Phantasy Star Online, Skies of Arcadia, Shenmue etc. Western RPGs kinda took over specifically on Xbox but JRPGs are back with a vengeance now 👍
@Kaloudz hope so as definitely a day 1 purchase 👍
