Today was a big day in the world of Nintendo, as the company held a 40-minute Nintendo Direct event featuring some major announcements for first-party games - as well as a few third-party ones!
It's the latter that we're focusing on today, as a few of them have been confirmed as coming to Xbox as well. A particular highlight is the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol.1 which has been announced for October!
Here are all the Xbox-related announcements and trailers from June's Nintendo Direct:
Vampire Survivors (Local Co-Op Mode) - August 17, 2023

Penny's Big Breakaway - Early 2024
"In this 3D platforming adventure, you’ll explore the bright and colorful world of Macaroon, and help Penny and Yo-Yo escape the clutches of the grouchy Emperor Eddie. Perform stylish, acrobatic tricks to avoid Eddie’s massive horde of pushy penguins in Story Mode. Power up Yo-Yo to protect Penny and put your speed running skills to the test in Time Attack Mode to unlock special items and complete secret stages."
It's possible that we may learn of more games from June 2023's Nintendo Direct that are confirmed for Xbox at some point over the next few hours, so we'll continue to update this article if that proves the case.

Penny’s Big Breakaway is giving me massive Hat in Time vibes which is always a good thing.
Another reason to go back to Vampire Survivors.
@Lup yeah I play this quite often. Simple but addictive...
Vampire survivors news is epic, and wtf is headbangers hahahaha
Sounds interesting
Wish Xbox was also getting Star Ocean Second Story Remake. Work some magic Xbox 🫠
Edit: I would trade Dragon Quest Infinity Stash for so many other SE games released or to be released this year.
Penny's Big Breakaway looks good
It was a very good, very surprising direct. 2 for 3 on showcases.
Another showcase that puts Sony to shame…
Square once more selectively ignoring XBox, this time with Star Ocean, I see.
@FraserG Thanks for writing this because reading the NL articles it looked like every game is coming to Switch exclusively 👍.
@DJKingaling Yep, it would be disappointing if it doesn't come to Xbox.
@Banjo- I edit my comment, but I would take so many other SE games over the one slated to come (Infinity Stash)
I can’t see myself going back to Vampire Survivors. My wife 100%’d everything; achievements, collection, bestiary et al just after the last DLC. The novelty of local coop might alright for a few games though.
Penny's big breakaway looks fantastic!
And the only 2 games that caught my interest, Fate/Samurai Remnant and Dragon Quest Monsters 3, aren't mentioned here. Sad news. I guess I'll have to get it on switch or pc.
Mythforce and Penny both look great
