Last year, third party accessor maker Hyperkin revealed that it was bringing back the Xbox 360 controller, by creating a set of officially licensed wired 360 pads for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Well, they're hitting store shelves this June, and four different variations are now up for pre-order on the Hyperkin website.
Fans can choose from White, Black, Red and Pink variants of the 'Xenon' Xbox controller - as it's known. The name Xenon is a sneaky reference to the chipsets found in the original Xbox 360 console.
Hyperkin's new Xbox 360 controller is USB-C wired, comes with precision analog impulse triggers, vibration feedback, a 3.5 mm headset jack and will also include menu, view and share buttons like modern Xbox controllers.
- Xenon Wired Controller White
- Xenon Wired Controller Black
- Xenon Wired Controller Red
- Xenon Wired Controller Pink
Of course, the 'Xenon' follows the company's previous revival of the OG Xbox 'Duke' controller. That venture must have been successful enough to warrant a 360 version and we must admit, these things look pretty damn cool!
Are you tempted to pre-order one of these things? We certainly are!

Let me be the first to say it - stop with the controllers - give us Starfield coffee cups instead!
If this was wireless and had paddles, I'd replace my Elite Series 2 with it in a heart beat.
I would but they’re not available in the UK 🙄
I want one so much but I'm greek
Serious question, does anyone actually use these third party wired controllers? I give a pass to the duke since the original was a wired controller, but at this point to me if it's not wireless im not interested.
Im not preordering but i’m definitely buying it. Love the Xbox360 Controller & always will
The design
The thickness
The silver embossed Xbox logo button
The fully colored buttons
The green light
The only other controller that comes close to the 360 controller is the dualsense even though the design of it is boring and too serious like the X1 controller but i’m glad skins exists .
@LX_FENIX yes , people use wired for PC gaming which is exactly why i’m excited and getting it. Wired controllers still have their pros & you can use any controller on PC without ever having to worry about charging the controller.
I feel like I'm the perfect candidate for these but I'm having trouble deciding on whether to get them or not. The current Series controllers are perfect. I enjoyed the 360 controllers in their day, and in fact, I loved the neat dpad/switcher to be 4 way or 8 way on the special 360 controllers. I thought that would be "the way" going forward.
These are neat but I feel like they would just stay in the box on my shelf. If I want to play on PC I'm sure I'd just grab a Series Xbox controller.
@Scummbuddy Yeah that's pretty much my problem, the Series controller is essentially a perfect evolution of this, and it's got added features that are nice to have, along with it being wireless.
I went for the Duke since that's a lot more unique and it gives the original Xbox games a feel of authenticity, but with this, I just don't see myself using it.
@JayJ I bought into those "Retro Fighters Hunter Wireless Controller for Original XBOX, Switch & PC" as they were to be new replacements for the original Xbox, but also PC, so it's nice to have some backups or probably new main controllers for the original Xbox. But it would be nice to have backup/new controllers for the 360.
