You might remember that the classic original Xbox "Duke" controller was brought back for Xbox One in 2018, and now Hyperkin is reinventing it once again, with the Xbox 20th Anniversary Edition set to arrive in Q4 2021.
Details are thin on the ground right now, but we know that it'll be compatible with Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC (Windows 10), and like the previous version, will come equipped with the original Xbox's start-up animation.
As you can see, there will be two different versions - one in white and one in black - while the old white and black buttons on the controller will act as bumpers (RB and LB). You also get a Share button for Xbox Series X|S.
Hyperkin was the creator of the previous Xbox One version of the "Duke", so if you liked that one, you're probably going to like this one too. The 20th anniversary branding is to celebrate 20 years of Xbox on November 15, 2021.
We're still waiting on details about pricing, but we'll let you know more as and when it's revealed.

God that is one ugly controller
@UltimateOtaku91 Its beautiful!
Never have I ever wanted or felt the need to buy a fancy controller. Until now
I’d love to have it, but I just can’t bring myself to do wired.
No wireless, no buy
I bought the last Duke remake, the green one. I've often felt since then that maybe I should have picked up the classic black one instead. Maybe now's my chance.
Looks again that it isn't wireless. Huge disappointment. Would have bought it otherwise, even if a wireless mode didn't play the animation.
So stuck... Would love to have it. Having an elderly dog that doesn't give 2 s**ts about what it walks into now a days makes wired controllers redundant for me. My SNES mini got sent flying across the room last time I had it out due to a cat in the tree outside and my dog clocking it.
Well that was the easiest easter egg hunt...
@Leprecorn Ah a man of culture I see.
My Hyperkin Duke had issues with the analog sticks and triggers within the first 3 months and Hyperkin refused to provide any kind of service.
Not buying their products ever again.
@UltimateOtaku91 for some people is nostalgia or performance / comfort. Can’t say anything about the Duke because never tried it before, but in my case GC controller is still number 1.
Unrelated to the duke controller. I recently got another controller for my series s, its the electric volt green one. The thumbsticks are green as well, and pick up alota dirt and get mad discolored. Within a week of regular use they looked horrible. So i had to put covers over them so i didnt have to look at em all dirty n what not.
@UltimateOtaku91 the Duke is kind of Iconic like the Nintendo Wavebird. That’s not to say I’m a fan; my hands are too small for it.
Q) Interested in picking up the new 20th Anniversary Duke controller for Xbox?
A) Oh gosh yes; I adored the Duke controller I got for the Xbox One and used it for ages. Most of my Soulcalibur VI playtime was with it and I found it surprisingly comfortable to use.
I only stopped because it suffered from Drift and I was unable to find a replacement and sending things off for repairs is always a nervous experience unless it's someone you can trust. Hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on one of these, particularly as it does have the additional share button to make use of.
YES Xbox Plz!!! take my money. i will be pre ordering both the white and black 20th anniversary Duke controller's
I might get it just to play OG Xbox games that come to Gamepass. Oooooh, nostalgia trip.
Not a fan of the 20'th anniversary looks to be honest, I prefer the transparent green I got a while back.
@Hardcore_Holly Yeah that's the best thing about it for me. The center screen thing is a total gimmick, but there is just something about playing original Xbox games X enhanced with an original Duke controller, one of the ultimate retro experiences.
