It's almost time for the highly anticipated release of Redfall on Xbox Game Pass, and you can finally begin preloading the game today across Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC, with different download sizes for each.
The Xbox Series S version of Redfall is currently sitting around 40GB, the Xbox Series X version is around 77GB, and the PC version is around 94GB, although the latter is showing a final "install size" of 103GB.
There's every chance these preload sizes could change over the next few days if Arkane decides to add updates to the game pre-launch, so it might be worth keeping a little extra storage space free until release day rolls around.
Just a few days to go now... Redfall launches for Xbox Series X, Series S and PC on May 2nd, 2023!
Have you begun preloading Redfall on Xbox Game Pass? Tell us in the comments down below.

As a series S owner, I do appreciate the smaller install size since the storage is very limited. Obviously, I realize that performance and visuals aren't as good. I knew that going in though.
No thanks. I for one am not interested
@GhanaViking same. Happy to have a much smaller DL even with the set backs. Which don't even bug me that much tbh. I already know digital foundry will have a field day with the series s version.
Nope. And I can believe they're going ahead with this PR nightmare. Get ready for the gaming world to declare that Xbox releases unfinished games.
@NeutronBomb I’ll laugh if the 60FPS patch hits in like 30 day’s. This will be all talk from the most entitled group of people on earth. GAMERS. Enjoy the hobby for what we get, these dev’s are working hours and hours away from families and friends to bring us the best they can and i am sure more then us they are disappointed they didn’t get 60FPS in for launch.

Have you been working somewhere in a deep mining facility? Everyone and their pets did nothing but complained about Xbox releasing unfinished games.
I personally can't wait play the game.
@Green-Bandit Me too buddy. I'll laugh at the stupidity of releasing an unfinished game when they could delayed just 30 days and skipped all the outrage.
@Sol4ris That's even worse then. They know where the rake is, and still they tread on it.
@Sol4ris To be fair in this games case there is plenty of evidence.
Previews suggested less than stellar performance; 30fps only at launch... in a first person shooter on "the worlds most powerful console"; online only in single player... until later... maybe.
Frankly their messaging is woeful here. Even the most devout Xbox fan could see that.
Personally I am very excited for Redfall, I love Arkane, but I will be waiting for 60fps and a few patches.
I'm really looking forward to it; a properly co op arkane game, what's not to like?

I'm not defending their messaging but if the game is ready to be released and the only thing missing is the 60fps mode which is confirmed to come later than I'm not going to pretend to be outraged. I rate Arkane's games very highly, hence why I'll be there on day one.
30fps only at launch... in a first person shooter on "the worlds most powerful console"
Low hanging fruit there ant man😅 and whilst this whole situation is not ideal, it still is the worlds most powerful console.😁
@grumpypotato
in 30 days game will be dead
No way, the Achievements hunting community will ensure it will at least be alive for 90 days😉. The game will all right.
@Sol4ris My point with "the worlds most powerful console" comment is that this is what Microsoft keep telling us, and on paper it is... yet two and a half years into this gen there is very little evidence of it! Show don't tell! As a Series X owner that is disappointing. We should all expect better.
I'm also an Arkane fan, and it was only going to ever be 30fps i'd probably play it Day 1... if it doesn't have other technical issues, 30fps isn't a deal breaker for me. It isn't outrage but disappointment. But now that I know 60fps is coming I will wait for the better experience. Plus it suggests this is coming in very hot, else they would have time to optimise 60fps, instead they will be polishing other areas.
(edited for clarity)
@NeutronBomb not saying thats all the time it will take but I’d laugh cause if they delayed the game 2 days people would be all MS can manage games, this game got delayed again, I’m canceling my services, I’m selling my xbox, so this way we get the game and hopefully a quick turn around on the 60fps patch.
@grumpypotato you mean like Sea of Thieves was? Content and GP are king in this case as the game will continue to add on as they have claimed and it will just be sitting on GP to be played. While i don’t think the game will change life for Xbox, it will be a solid title and most likely fun to play. Arkane are very talented and will continue to improve it over time. Thats my hope anyways 😀
@GhanaViking Can always purchase memory card? But at that price should purchased Series X.
Just another example of why I believe Series S, was and is, huge mistake. I know it has its fanboys. But really I've not heard a true, compelling argument that has me saying, ok I understand it now and Series S great idea.
@Green-Bandit Awwww, don't say mean things to these eagle eyed gamers that were never able to play a video game until 3-4 years ago since their eyes could not receive input and data from a display of 30 fps.
@GuyinPA75
Series S brought in people who would not have paid the 500+ to get in the Xbox ecosystem. I am not a fanboy for the S, but besides storage space, which is just an inconvenience, I have no major issues with it.
@GuyinPA75 good one buddy, you are so right. Not like they will admit that. Funny how most of my post have people commenting but not really saying anything. Haven’t seen a debate come up yet, just a lot of teenage angst and nothing burgers.
