Over the last few weeks, as we near Redfall's Xbox Game Pass launch, the team at Arkane Studios has been slowly revealing the game's cast of playable characters. At the start of April we learnt about Telekinetic engineering gal Layla, and since then the dev team has gradually revealed the full launch day roster for Redfall.
So, we thought we'd throw each character trailer into a handy little roundup, providing a nice breakdown of what each star will bring to the table. Here are some brief introductions to Redfall's bunch of more-than-capable vampire slayers:

Layla Ellison
"A biomedical engineering student who interned at an Aevum research facility, where something went very wrong, leaving her with intense telekinetic abilities. Her abilities give you all around versatility – Umbrella is perfectly suited for offense or defense. Use Lift to reach rooftops or launch enemies into the air."
Jacob Boyer
"An ex-military sharpshooter turned private contractor. An encounter with a vampire god left Jacob with a mysterious vampiric eye, a spectral raven that’s never far from his side, and a ghostly sniper rifle."
Remi De La Rosa
"A brilliant combat engineer who has spent her life on the frontlines. With the help of her robot cohort, Bribon, she’s determined to help rescue Redfall’s survivors."
Devinder Crousley
"A cryptozoologist and aspiring inventor. Armed with weapons of his own creation, he’s on a mission to prove himself."

Really can't decide - the lift ability to get to rooftops could be really useful, but I often play as a bit of a tank so the sharpshooter might be better...
But then I like the robot creations etc., so I suspect I'll give all of them a bit of a go when it comes out and quickly settle into a favourite...
I was waiting for him. Devinder for me.
Whichever one makes the game run at 60 or 120fps.
The descriptions get shorter with every character, haha.
Devinder looks like the best one IMO, especially for a single player run. Hopefully that’s totally do-able without having to team up in co-op, they said it should be so fingers crossed. I’m not really a fan of co-op shooters but think this looks cool, despite all the negativity surrounding it
Jacob for stealth and Layla for action
@Clankylad
Yes there are some videos showing skill trees and upgrades about.
@InterceptorAlpha ahhh mate...as soon as I saw the headline I came in here to comment the same thing 😂. Beat me to the punch...
@BrilliantBill I agree, but I wonder if they went "all hands on deck" to remove the "always online" capability and the final 60fps optimizations took a back seat.
As for me, I will do Jacob again as I really enjoyed the character during my playtest - plus he suits my "slow and steady" playstyle.
None. Another cast of unlikable dorks.
xbox got no frames.
Nobody until the frame rate gets higher than a Sega genesis
None till I can play it at 60fps
@Fenbops i think that’s one thing putting me off on RedFall a bit is i don’t like the characters much. The design and abilities aren’t really jiving with me for some reason. I know it’s a small issue, especially if the game is fun.
Not sure as of yet. I guess I'll make a decision when I fire it up.
Hadn’t heard of this game but I would say Layla hands down.
Usually go stealthy, but I like to be able to move vertically in Arkane games.
These characters remind me of the Saints Row reboot, in a negative way. I hope the game is good aside from that.
This actually looks really good!!
@BolkaRover you might even say Tears of the Kingdom framerates, but at 4k instead of 900p.
The characters seem a bit meh, saints row remake kind of vibe.
I really hope this turns out decent, well at least once they patch in 60 anyways.
I was crazy excited as a gamer once I snagged an X and a PS5 during the first year of release, but as time goes on, with largely just okay stuff from Microsoft I'm becoming a tad disenfranchised with my X.
If this turns out to be not all that good, and Starfield disappoints( I'm actually a tad worried about it) I might simply just box it up.
Jacob is awesome
