Indiana Jones And The Great Circle Early Xbox Reviews / Previews
At the time of publishing, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle reviews aren't out yet - so you'll have to wait until a little closer to release to see those launch impressions.
Having said that, this game has been previewed plenty over the last few months, including here at Pure Xbox! For our thoughts on a pretty big slice of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, check out the feature below.
Indiana Jones And The Great Circle: Xbox Series X|S Performance Targets
Luckily for us, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is targeting 60FPS on both Xbox Series X and S.
We've only played a PC build of the game so far, so we don't have any pre-release impressions of Xbox performance. However, MachineGames has always targeted (and largely hit) 60FPS with its Wolfenstein games - and we're expecting the same here.
Is Indiana Jones And The Great Circle On Xbox One?
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is launching on Xbox Series X|S and PC only, meaning there's no Xbox One version of the game.
However, the game will be on Xbox Cloud Gaming as part of your Game Pass Ultimate subscription, so you can stream it over the internet on Xbox One.
And, there we have it! We hope this was all useful information, and that you go on to enjoy Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on Xbox Game Pass.

Will this be broken day one like everything else seems to be?
Monday releases can get in the bin. Call me cynical but it feels like a ploy to get people to buy the deluxe upgrade so they can play it over the weekend.
Will play it eventually but the Path of Exile beta early access also starts on 6th December and that is way more important to me.
Hope the folks who do play Great Circle have a fun time & it meets all your whip cracking expectations.
Let’s wait for the inevitable reviews first
See what this one gets.
Just been to Argos and wow a big square thing about 5ft tall advertising Xbox.
Well I really mean Game Pass.
Consoles were mentioned on the list of devices.
I think Xbox is way too early with all this and cloud gaming. Mum and Dad and youngsters want a bargain console with great games they can buy individually. Welcome Switch and PS5.
I swear this will be the ruin of Xbox.
Before anyone has ago.
I really do hope this is a 90 plus critically acclaimed top quality AAA game.
Not seen any TV adverts yet though.
Really looking fowards to it
Please don’t be a buggy train wreck! Please don’t be a buggy train wreck! Please don’t be a buggy train wreck!
@Kloppo
I don’t think this game will be a buggy train wreak.
I’m more concerned about overall gameplay and combat with this one and flow.
I just hope the review embargo lifts before the early access…
@somnambulance
I think it will be after early access but before full release.
Anyway Pure Xbox must know the review embargo date?
Concerned with the 1st person view more than anything. Just played the Tainted Grail Fall of Avalon demo (same view) and found it too floaty and janky. I’m sure the budget and skill behind Indy will be far greater so hopefully that’ll demonstrate itself.
Is the review embargo thur/fri anyone know?
I never understand why they can’t announce when reviews go live (not MS most games in general)
You would think companies would want people checking them out!
@PsBoxSwitchOwner
Review embargo lifts on December the 5th if anyone interested.
@OldGamer999 there you are man. Another ruin for xbox lol.
i personally know moms and dads who are happily paying $20/m subscription so they dont have to deal with kid asking to buy games all the time lol. I personally converted couple of casuals friends only due to series s and GP.
You can doom & gloom whatever you want mate. There are still plenty of people enjoying xbox consoles and GP instead of whining all the time.
@Millionski If you think what he said is gloom and doom (it wasn't, it was some mild criticism and concern), you might faint from shock at comments in other articles where Xbox gets torn down to the bone.
@Elbow “i swear it will be ruin for xbox” sounds pretty doom & gloom to me.
Streaming to a tablet not even remotely close to playing on xbox and we all know that. So this narrative is purely fears and speculations.
@Millionski
When you have been there day one and with the xbox360 days, maybe even Xbox one to a point and what they have become now then it frustrates.
Once a console king and a AAA game specialist in the 360 days to almost sod all in 4 years and a slow suffocating of Xbox consoles.
They not even trying that hard really just on some limp mode and only making money because of ABK. Xbox itself was still negative only ABK got it up 4%.
They have no real Xbox as we used to know growth and bigger all big AAA in four years.
Frustrated because it’s such a waste of a console and gaming brand.
I would not care being honest if they actually released something big AAA and critically acclaimed and used the power of the series x console for once.
But we know they have become the Jack of all trades and master of none and being a console gamer seeing that console go to waste and the brands games go to waste is not easy.
Will it have a lot of bugs on day 1?
Yes, of course. (I was looking into the future ball) 😂
But hey, at least this game still arrives on disc. How nice from Microsoft, since they are more interested in streaming and digital subscriptions.
Hopefully it's better than stalker 2 but we will see 🥱?
OldGamer999 wrote:
Sorry mate, this isn't quite right. In the last 2-3 years Microsoft has been making more money through gaming than they ever have, that includes before ABK.
It is true this this year GROWTH was slightly negative without ABK, but that doesn't mean they "only make money because of ABK". If you take ABK away Microsoft are still making a hell of a LOT of money from gaming, it just means they didn't make MORE money year on year that quarter. Growth has stagnated somewhat, which is one reason they bought ABK and are looking at other growth areas to expand into.
For anyone doom and gloom this has to be put in perspective. Microsoft recently made more money through gaming than they did via Windows. Is Windows going away? According to analysts Xbox (console) is still the largest part of that. So why would Xbox go away?
I can understand being scared about the future, but follow the money and you will see Xbox is doing just fine, it is making stupid amounts of money for Microsoft, they just want more and it to keep growing.
@themightyant
Really hope you are correct about the future of Xbox consoles.
But the absence of any really BF series x deals and trying to sell an all digital series x at £429.99 gets me concerned. UK/Europe.
Additionally other adverts I’ve seen in shops with big cardboard cut outs show gamepass and play on all these devices and guess what is not shown Xbox consoles.
Now call me daft but why would you not show the Xbox consoles along with the other devices on the advert, it’s just crazy.
Microsoft are up to something and not saying and if they dropped consoles tomorrow, I would not be a bit surprised.
Surely if you are a business wanting consoles involved you would do a bit for series x for BF, show Xbox consoles on adverts not leave them out.
Everything Microsoft are doing console wise is showing the opposite to what Xbox fans are trying to push and want to believe, console wise.
@GeeEssEff that’s not being clinical that’s having free thought, and it is completely normal to understand marketing strategies.
It’s unfortunate that gaming publishers and developers take advantage of the addictive nature of video gaming and set its release for Monday. That said these kind of people in another industry would happy wage wars or inflated medication so most Americans cannot afford it.
To summaries games devs and publishers don’t have the customers interests at heart it’s dog eat dog work. Kill or be killed I always say…
@OldGamer999 Not quite sure what you are getting at. Literally 2 of the 10 slides of the print advert are series X and series s, the others being phone, laptop, rog ally, meta quest, tv and fire tv stick… as well as a cat box and bento box. On the tv advert they start with the series X saying “this is an Xbox” before going onto everything else. They aren’t hiding the xbox console anywhere.
It sucks that gamepass is getting the game on day 4 instead of day 1.
Ironically, if I paid to play the game day 1 I would actually get to play a good chunk of it ahead of my vacation from 12/10-12/16. But I hate this practice and would never support it.
