Welcome to the XDefiant thread. Ubisofts answer to CoD a game developed by Ubisoft with input from old CoD pros, YouTubers and the such.

I got a chance to put in a fee hours of the open beta today and I have to say this game reminds me alot of the older CoD games. I am free to move around the map and don't have to worry about being picked off by campers. The map design is made with movement in mind and not the campy style CoD had become.

The weapon system is very much like CoD pick ten system which is nice for setting up. Load out quickly and getting into the game. The maps do remind me of Black Ops 3 maps not the dull gray and brown coloring that Modern Warfare uses. The specialists are a nice touch they remind me of Overwatch.

Since CoD's death It feels good to have a FPS game again. I can see me putting alot of time in this game when it comes out.

Played the beta on pc a few months ago and ive gotta say its fun and tight nit. Obviously needs some works but in general its fast paced and i hope it gives call of duty a good competitor but overall both cod and XDefiant is fun.

Put a few hours into the server test today and I enjoyed the game just as much as the last time played. Hopefully this means the game will be launching soon.

Looks like May 21st is the release date. So excited to finally have a date.

Double Weapon XP starts tomorrow and runs through Monday. Time to grind out some guns.

I love how open the devs are and really listen to the player base. So a new update dropped that made the weapon leveling go faster and yesterday they added Team Death Match as one of the modes. I can't wait to try these out some time this weekend.

Sad news out of Ubisoft today, XDefiant is officially dead.

Mark Rubin has announced that full refunds will be going out and servers will shut down in June 2025. Sad to see another promising game being terminated. But hey we are getting another Assassins Creed. 🙄

It was sadly doomed from the start I think

The final update is live now. I decided to play a few games and it's a bittersweet update. If they would have released this alot sooner it may have saved it yet we will never know. I liked seeing the new factions and imagine what could have been, you can even tell that the final faction the Blood Dragon one wasn't finished as there is only one character for that faction. Even the music on the main screen has a somber sound too it.

Hopefully, with the rumors of an Ubisoft buyout whoever does buy it out gives this IP a other chance.
