I actually went and purchased Tengami last night. Played around 45 minutes and I feel like I am halfway through. Do not regret it since the game is beautiful and the David Wise soundtrack is amazing. Gameplay looks simple but interesting so far.
The first part with the white wolves had one of my dogs going crazy when she heard the howling. She got real close to the TV screen, trying to find the culprit. My other two dogs could not care less, though.
I will be continuing with Vanquish and Stealth Inc 2.
I have this "game" where I am trying to play with my Wii U everyday for a whole month just to see all the daily bars in the Log filled out. So that makes me neglect my other consoles during weekdays.
Regarding Smash, my Wii U copy should arrive next week, so I will be taking advantage of the 3DS version.
That's cool of MS, and I don't think other companies do that.
You usually see the early adopters paying the most and enduring droughts, not receiving prizes. The only closest thing I can think of is the 3DS Ambassador program.
I just downloaded it (as I had to go through a Wii U system update, a MK8 update and finally the DLC content) and I liked what I played. That is the Egg Cup with Link in his Epona bike.
As I mentioned at NintendoLife, having Mute City and Tanooki Mario instead of Captain Falcon just reeks of missed opportunity, even if the Capn arrives later on. I would have used Samus instead of Cat Peach too, although there are no Metroid tracks.
For me it will be MK8 DLC, and continue my playthroughs of Stealth Inc 2 and Vanquish. I may restart Bayonetta 2 with the unlockable character on Normal.
Never played Neon so I cannot comment on that. Yet I got raised on the original DD games.
I wonder how PlatinumGames would do a game like this. Bayonetta is more of a hack and slash, so a 2 player beat them up could be interesting to see from them.
And Western side, I would say Next Level Games. They work with Nintendo but are not owned by them, and their last two games (Punch Out Wii and Luigi's Mansion 2) have been great revivals of dormant franchises. So there is a possibility.
"That’s not an excuse for a high-profile title such as this to be as poorly finished as it absolutely and undeniably is, though, and pitching the review embargo so that it falls almost half a day after the game has been available for purchase digitally in the game's largest market is nothing short of cynical."
Thanks for this review. I am usually wary of games whose embargoes are that long. This time is no exception.
As expected, I beat Bayonetta 2 last night. Worth every cent spent and every minute since it was first announced. And those felt like Witch Time minutes.
I will continue my B1 playthrough to compare them, but I feel I already prefer B2. I played the first one on PS3 so it is refreshing to play a version at 60fps.
Coincidentally, I have Bayonetta 2 waiting for me at the post office so I will pick it up after work. Tomorrow a friend will come over with my copy of Smash 3DS.
The reviews this is getting are really pushing me to get a One. I like how colorful this game looks. And I like the look of the white console. That $50 price cut does not hurt either.
I am very tempted by both the price cut and that beautiful SO bundle. Too bad it is currently unavailable at Amazon.
I always complain about Sony bundling their white PS4 with a game I don't care about, and here is MS bundling their White One with a game I am hearing great things about.
Behind Nintendo, MS seems to be the one with exclusives I care the more about. FH2, Master Chief Collection, SO and of course Scalebound.
For me it will be Wolfenstein and Puppeteer on PS3. I am nearing the end on both of them now. Yesterday I got Persona 4 Arena as well, and Deus Ex for my Wii U.
If lady luck allows it, today a friend may receive our belated copies of Smash 3DS so we would meet up on Saturday to finally try it. If not, then I will sink some time into Pokémon X.
I will finish downloading and trying Bayonetta 2's demo. I will also continue playing Pac Man and the Ghostly Adventures and Wolfenstein the New Order.
Smash 3DS should arrive any day now, but if it does not hit today then I will have to wait until Monday.
I got Pacman and the Ghostly Adventures on WIi U during this final Smash sale. The rest of my time may be spent playing fighting games (getting much better with the fightstick now) and probably something on 3DS, like Tappingo or the Smash demo.
I just got a MadCatz Fightstick Pro on the mail today, so I will be trying all of my PS3 fighting games over the weekend, including my beloved PS1 copy of Street Fighter Alpha 2.
Glad to hear you are clearly aware of the criminal offense of having The Wonderful 101 nearly untouched. Not a capital crime as not having bought the game in the first place, but still a terrible thing to do.
As for me, I got Tappingo 2 but I have about half of the first one to go, so I am juggling both and comparing them. I have had the first one for months so I wanted to support Hugo Smits right away instead of waiting until whenever I finished the first game.
I may also continue my spectated playthrough of Wolfenstein the New Order. As with TLOU, I had my bro watching me play every step of the way, and since the respawn loading screen always has a German message, he looks for the meaning in his tablet and tells me.
I think all userbases can be entitled and annoying, and also have level headed, open minded individuals. A bit of everything I guess.
Now, after this E3 I have been following all three of these sites almost daily, where I only used to follow Nintendo Life and a bit of Push Square. I feel it is important to be more receptive of all different videogames, their creators and the fans themselves.
I usually don't complain about having to pay for games, while for indies I want to actually support their efforts instead of waiting for "free on PS+" or similar stuff that probably hurts their sales.
I got Ultra Street Fighter IV so I am playing that. I have issues because the life bars are not showing and when I go to options to change the HUD settings the game seems to freeze, although the music keeps playing. Not sure if my old Super files are causing a conflict or if my disc is faulty.
Good to know. I have been playing the game for short whiles and I think I have just like 2 badges. As I mentioned there, I also have both White 2 near the end and HeartGold at the beginning of Kanto, so I am juggling too many Pokémon games. Another reason why I won't get OR/AS at launch.
Nice to hear you are enjoying Siesta Fiesta. IMO one of the best indie 3DS exclusives.
I just made it. I beat the Extra stages for Bike Rider DX2. All that stands before me now is the two hard DLC worlds. 12 hours in and the little game keeps on giving!
I will probably play Tappingo (as the sequel hits next week), continue with the extra levels in Bike Rider DX2 and play some Pokémon White 2 (level up to take on the Elite Four) or advance the story on X.
Does not surprise me. If Capcom can't be bothered to put the HD remakes of their SF games on the Wii U eShop, they won't care to put a new SF game on it.
Thanks again. I just ordered the game on Amazon along with Ultra SFIV.
@JQuest
I think I just suck at any competitive game online. I would rather try something co op like evolve or Monster Hunter, and even then losing connection or not finding people just turns me off online too.
No. I avoid online competitive play like the plague, not just for this but for any other game. I don't have so much time to play at those skill levels, and my ego does not take beating that nicely. I am just happy filling out my Dex.
That is a game that I am somewhat interested in. I have always had a soft spot for Wolfenstein, and I have read that the game is mostly single player oriented, so that works for me.
I have a long weekend, so since today I have off I will have plenty of gaming time. I will beat Shovel Knight, which has been amazing so far. Probably will go back to Pokémon X and Bike Rider DX2. I will also get Xtype Plus and Soon Shine off the eShop.

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Thirty Six
@JaxonH
Thanks. That coming from you means a lot
And Armillo you say? Day 1 it was on my Wii U. It even had an early bird discount!
I have also heard good things about Teslagrad and Tengami. Getting both before the year is over to get more Deluxe Digital Promo points.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Thirty Six
@TylerTreese
The game is great, but I admit the frequent deaths just trying to beat some stages get in my nerves sometimes.
Scram Kitty still reigns supreme as my eshop GOTY. With this and Shovel Knight not far behind.

Re: New Grand Theft Auto V Easter Egg Allows for Animal Transformations
Pretty sure there will be a cheat code for this, because it sounds too cool to only be used once.

Re: What's Out This Week: November 18th (North America)
I forgot that Shadow of Mordor was hitting this week. I will pick it up later for my PS3.

Re: Editor's Opinion: Why Refusing Review Embargoes Isn’t the Way to Go
I know this is the Xbox site, but I will add that something very similar also is happening with Sonic Boom.
I only preorder games from Nintendo, and even then only games that I know will be great, like MK8.
I am never enticed by those preorder bonuses, and for most third party games you will get a better price if you wait a couple of months anyway.
Re: Xbox One Triples Week-on-Week Sales, Outsells PS4 and Approaches 10 Million Shipped
@Gamer83
But that review only lowered the Metascore one point. When you see the gap from 58 to 80, you know something is wrong.
I wish the SSO bundle was easier to find. After the disaster that has been Unity, I am less interested in the AC bundle, and I want a white One.

Re: Could Those Radical Battletoads Be Gearing Up for a Comeback?
Well, Rare did not work on the new Killer Instinct, so maybe they won't work in a new Battletoads either?

Re: pX Draws: Master Chief
My favorite is Dave's, followed by Justin's.
Re: New Tony Hawk Game En Route to Consoles in 2015
I haven't touched one of these games since 3 was originally released. My interest in this will depend on what studio Activision assigns for this.

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Thirty Four
Me? I will be playing some Bayonetta 2, then playing the sequel to Cereza's adventure and ending with the latest installment of the Umbra Witch.
Yes, I love the game to death. I will finish it for the first time this weekend.
Besides that I will continue with Smash 3DS and I will try Stealth Inc 2.
Re: Poll: What's Your Most-Anticipated Game of November?
I would say Master Chief because I never played Halo but it sounds like bang for your buck.
To be honest the only game I plan on getting this November will be Smash Bros. U.
Re: Microsoft Sending Select Sunset Overdrive Bundle Owners Another Free Game
Great, now this bundle I am interested in will be even harder to find.
The good part is that it includes Ryse, of all games it could have. Kinda like PS4 giving away copies of Knack.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Halloween Edition
Coincidentally, I have Bayonetta 2 waiting for me at the post office so I will pick it up after work. Tomorrow a friend will come over with my copy of Smash 3DS.

Re: Microsoft Slashes Xbox One Price in US for Holiday Season
This is great news to me. I just may take the plunge this holiday season, with Master Chief Collection around the corner.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Thirty Three
I wish I could say Bayonetta 2, but it will take some time to arrive.
So I will keep my Umbran sanity by finishing Puppeteer on PS3 and playing Ninja Battle Heroes on 3DS.
Re: Poll: Do You Prefer Linear or Open World Games?
I play both, but it would be like 51% linear.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Thirty Two
For me it will be Wolfenstein and Puppeteer on PS3. I am nearing the end on both of them now. Yesterday I got Persona 4 Arena as well, and Deus Ex for my Wii U.

Re: Poll: What’s Your Favourite Game Directed by Shinji Mikami?
I haven't played them all, but of the ones I have, my favorite is RE4. I replayed that one so many times.
I really need to try Vanquish. The worst part is that I already have it, but I haven't opened it yet. I want to beat Puppeteer and Wolfenstein first.
Re: Editor's Opinion: Our Resolution Resolution
This is the only site I visit to follow Xbox games, so I am happy to see I chose the right one. Congratulations on taking the sensible approach.
Re: Stick It To The Man Developer Teases New Game On Twitter
Yesterday that I got the Bayonetta 2 demo I finally put Stick it in the download queue as well. I hope I like it.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Thirty One
I will finish downloading and trying Bayonetta 2's demo. I will also continue playing Pac Man and the Ghostly Adventures and Wolfenstein the New Order.
Smash 3DS should arrive any day now, but if it does not hit today then I will have to wait until Monday.
Re: Poll: Which October Release Are You Looking Forward To The Most?
The two I am most excited about are not even in this list:
Smash Bros. for 3DS and Bayonetta 2.
Of the list I would say The Evil Within, since Mikami is at the helm. Getting it on PS3 but not at full price, unless it has stellar reviews.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Twenty Nine
I got Pacman and the Ghostly Adventures on WIi U during this final Smash sale. The rest of my time may be spent playing fighting games (getting much better with the fightstick now) and probably something on 3DS, like Tappingo or the Smash demo.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Twenty Eight
I just got a MadCatz Fightstick Pro on the mail today, so I will be trying all of my PS3 fighting games over the weekend, including my beloved PS1 copy of Street Fighter Alpha 2.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Twenty Seven
@Emanouel @Gamer83
I agree with you guys. NintendoLife must have had 100+ newcomers yesterday just to beg for the demo.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Twenty Seven
I will be playing the Smash demo too. Sorry, I don't have any more codes.

Thanks. I recently got two Vivillons, a fancy pattern that got distributed because of 100 million trades and the PokéBall pattern one.
I am not expecting much from Soon Shine. NL gave it a 6. It seems like a cheap game to play between other game sessions.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Twenty Three
I have a long weekend, so since today I have off I will have plenty of gaming time. I will beat Shovel Knight, which has been amazing so far. Probably will go back to Pokémon X and Bike Rider DX2. I will also get Xtype Plus and Soon Shine off the eShop.
Re: Gamescom 2014: Episodic Noir Story Blues & Bullets Coming to Xbox One in 2015

Thanks for the tip. I have a copy borrowed from my brother, waiting to be played, and I always felt a game like that should be played in B/W.
