@BeerIsAwesome yes, exactly my point! in terms of size, Embracer is very comparable to MS. So yeah, maybe MS has better/more funding for now. But that's exactly the risk I see with this acquisitions... On the other hand, if you don't deliver good products, you will have to close sooner or later, independent or part of a group...

Regarding the bugs: I guess the more attention a game got pre-launch, the more people will play it just for hate-love a d therefore searching for bugs. Just s guess, though

@BeerIsAwesome At least for Nintendo, we could see this kind of mindset for many games already. Last most obvious example was Bayo 3. I guess Nintendo blocked Platinum several times to release it and asked them to go back to their desk and keep optimizing. The game was very polished and quasi bug free at release. But it took quite long from announcement to release. From a consumer point of view, this is great, since you get a good product. But I also can understand, why independent studios might not have the funds to postpone the release again and again. Definetly one benefit of having a big company behind your back. On the other hand, it can also mean imminent closure if you don't deliver, looking at Embracer Groups current behavior...

@BeerIsAwesome I would argue with your first point because of your last sentence exactly

I don't think they had more time for doing other things, but instead had to spend more time to optimize the game for the Series S.

Under normal circumstances, they probably would ha e thrown that thing at us half a year or so ago, buggy as hell and unplayable on S.
So for Xbox owners, this way was great and definitely a plus for the overall shape and quality.
If this really leads to a higher player base then having real multiplatform? who knows...
