I was leaving it in Shutdown, but then I could never remotely install games. Also, game updates weren't being installed. Because I haven't been playing frequently this year, whenever I would boot it up, there'd be gigabytes of game updates to download and install. I opted to leave it in Sleep mode during the day and let it Shutdown at night. Now I have the best of both worlds.
@SCHONBOB Good to know. I was only wondering about the PS5 load times because of the following statement made in the TouchArcade review:
“While Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics looks fine on Switch, the biggest downgrade from other platforms is the load times. Going in and out of games on Steam and PS5 is almost instant while the Switch version has loading for basically everything.”
@SCHONBOB Thank you! I pre-ordered the Nintendo Switch version yesterday and played it this morning. The loading times are very minimal. Maybe 2 seconds. I have Capcom Fighting Collection on PS5. I haven’t played it in a while. I’ll compare the loading times out of curiosity.
While all of the reviews are positive, it's interesting to see two details that are discussed in only two reviews I've read. One is Push Square noting frame rate drops in Marvel vs. Capcom on PS5. The other is TouchArcade noting the PS5 version has instant load times while the Switch's load times are a few seconds.
Perhaps these are things that only stood out to a couple of people who are eagle eyed or sensitive to such things. I certainly appreciate this type of information, especially considering each version is probably 99% the same across the board.
