Re: Xbox Owners Stunned By 'Insane' Fortnite Graphics Following Unreal Engine 5.1 Upgrade

"although the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S were treated to an absolutely awesome feature in particular."

I'm confused, but what is this "absolutely awesome feature in particular" that is available for Xbox Series X/S but not other current-gen platforms? (PS5/PC) Sorry but this article sounds definitely kind of misleading.

The official announcement makes no distinction of feature availability between current-gen systems.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Gets Brand-New Performance Mode On Xbox Series S

@themightyant I'm afraid not all news are good...

For those that didn't read the article fully, it runs at 900p with DRS (800p-1080p) Sadly, most videos seem to point at it running closer to the 800p than up while driving through the city, which is kind of ridiculous for 2022 and 4K TV owners.

I think we have Xbox One S titles running at higher resolutions than 800p :/

Re: Dying Light 1's Free Next-Gen Update Arrives On Xbox Series X|S

Sarxion

Yeah... I'm not too excited. Specially with how terrible Dying Light 2's "next-gen 60fps" patch went. FYI for anyone unaware, they achieved 60fps by just lowering resolution to a muddy dynamic 720p-900p resolution and lowering graphical settings (texture quality, etc). All while having major screen tearing problems due to a potentially uncapped framerate.

We really shouldn't be calling updates "next-gen" just because they boost framerate by halving the resolution/quality and unlocking the framerate.

For anyone skeptical, The Xbox Tester covered gameplay of Dying Light 2's 60fps patch. See for yourselves.

Re: Xbox Fans Think Forza Horizon 5 Might Be Heading To Mexico

Sarxion

@RadioHedgeFund That's a really poor argument to be honest. Forza Horizon games are mainly set in locations that could be fun to drive on, and never really about the "Car Heritage" the location has. By that logic, Mexico and Australia are kind of similar in that they both have mainly big Rally locations, but beyond it that's it in terms of racing. And neither of the two countries are really famous for their car history. And yet, they are both popular tourist destinations because of how gorgeous they both are from a ecology and fauna standpoint.

And lets not forget Mexico is far more than just Deserts, given a large part of it is covered in Mountainous regions and Greenery, and which could be equally fun to drive in.

Also @Luigi_Skywalker, Did Australia (Forza Horizon 3) have a huge back catalog of famous racing cars produced there? No, right?
