This is actually a criminally overlooked game.

Played through it on GP and bought it on my PS4 too. Hours of fun to be had with a great achievements/trophy list.

There are 4 bonus levels that are basically bmx wipeout and it’s so difficult but incredibly rewarding when you get to the finish.

Highly recommend!

PlayStation 5 being missed makes sense as a number of games seem to be having this issue.

But to me this seems like the Series S is being skipped for a reason. Makes you wonder what the longevity of that console is 🤔

Really is beneficial looking at the list that they acquired Bethesda cause its was gunna be pretty empty on releases for a while.

Although exclusives aren’t necessarily important for Xbox anymore with GP focus.

@lokozar now that my friend, is the dialogue I kinda wish you had used in your first two responses.

I find that people in the video game industry, especially forward facing ones, are more prone to give their opinions when they do have a passionate case they want to put forward, which Fares has done. Obviously one we sit on opposite sides of the fence with.

As for real life with real people, I see your point. I too like to think before I speak on certain topics, do I feel this was one he needed to do so with? Not really, but hey that’s why we’re here right?

I feel like the biggest issue with modern society whether it’s in politics, daily lives or simply on a gaming site like this, too many are unwilling to engage in a conversation with somebody they don’t agree with. And too often that results in things escalating to the point it has as you’ve eluded to.

I don’t blame anyone in this situation tbh. Controversy/outrage can be interpreted differently amongst different people.

Journalists will provoke those in higher positions to stir controversy or conversation in a certain way. Always have and always will, you see it everyday. It’s just about how we perceive the answers/opinions given and what we do with that information. So scratch above, I guess I actually blame the interviewer. Though you obviously blame Faras. And that’s clear now from both of us.

The guy isn’t going to apologise, and I don’t believe he should. People will play his games regardless, especially considering they’ll likely be on GP anyway.

Fact is, the guy had an opinion which he was asked for, that you see as biased. But, are most opinions not objectively biased made by anyone? Maybe that’s why I prefer PushSquare in most cases. “MY OPINION”. As people over there, whether agreeing or disagreeing, will actually engage in a dialogue rather than over here where it’s a “You’re wrong, there’s no reasoning, i’ve had enough of you and this conversation MUTED” response.

The media completely hijacked the original games release in classic media fashion, dumping on video games and saying they aren’t mature enough and it was too soon.

The latter may have been true but it’s a story that was being handled with care and input from people who actually fought on the frontline.

Glad to see this make a return as it’s a story that is not really touched in major media forms unlike other battles/wars.

@Dandare4479 I don’t believe anyone other than MGM and Eon owns the rights to Bond. EA era is over a decade gone and Activision was the most recent creator of the games with IO now making one following Hitman 3.

I think the issue is more about who actually wants to make a Bond game and has a good enough pitch, which IO clearly did.

Plus I feel like a GoldenEye remake would not be as successful as people think. People want a remake but they don’t actually want one. The style of GoldenEye is a great nostalgia trip, but it’s gameplay idea is dated.

A lot of Developers/Publishers actually do this already, EA and Ubisoft for most games.

Probably wise to do this for Halo Infinite. Help build the hype back up through word of mouth and possibly previews should there be no NDA’s attached.

Regardless, it wouldn’t surprise me for Xbox to be thinking about another big purchase. They need to get some big games out to strengthen their push of customers to GP.

Yeah if anyone isn’t from the UK here, completely ignore GAMINGBible. They are the gaming department of the most clickbaity, fall from grace company on the Internet.

@Tharsman well Days gone was panned by Critics but loved by fans who played it.

The game was a product of a flawed and buggy build that reviewers played at least a month before official release without patches. The day one patch mostly resolved the majority of issues listed in reviews.

That said, The Medium being the only big Xbox game for a while might find great success being on GP. And could see itself as being what Days Gone did become, a critically panned but beloved game by fans.

First time seeing this game and it looks great.

Hopefully with the GP access it can sustain a player base as it definitely shows potential. Maybe some PC/Xbox crossplay too.

@orionreplay yeah I only say because I do use the share button quite often and a number of times i’ve done ‘press to screenshot’ but its video captured instead and vice versa.

So I have double checked and dabbled in the settings myself on a few occasions to make sure

The value of GP is great though I can see many finding issue with price increases, especially for XBL and those who only play certain games.

I think this price increase is definitely a strategy to phase out XBL though I’d have preferred Xbox to just get rid all together rather than this, and incorporate it into GPU.

It’s definitely a price increase that will only upset some, most have probably already got their subs in for a long time to come.

Well they already openly admitted to knowing the game was going to launch in poor condition, on video, so hopefully not too hard to find them guilty in the courts.

Not gunna happen imo, at least not to a high caliber.

Just make it easy and say no now rather than later and focus on PC & Xbox S X/S

Thats enough info to present a case. I know the difference, but my dad has already questioned it with me once or twice in the past, even friends into gaming have asked.

But you’re 100% right. People react with hostility towards someone who appears hostile. Fares is known for being outspoken and saying how he feels openly. But the message behind the words is the key component being missed for sure

@gollumb82 in his first post he literally linked to a PureXbox article where Amazon sales of another console had drastically increased at time of pre orders going live for Series X and a vote which was conducted on this site.
