@Royalblues Permanent exclusive, sadly. Though developed by Housemarque, Sony is both the publisher and (presumable) copyright holder. Unless PS5 fails so hard that Sony waves the white flag - which is almost impossible, given how good it looks - it ain't going anywhere.

Let's see - Deathloop is a must buy, Ghostwire is a maybe, Kena and Little Devil Inside both look like great fun, and... Yup, that's all I want. Save for Sony's excellent first-party output, not much grabbed me that I won't already be able to get on Xbox.

(And they can keep the dino one. Is... is that one even a GAME?)

Forza Horizon 3 looks more impressive... hell, Project CARS itself does too.

The bigger third-parties are also apparently going to be there, so it should be a very fun event indeed. Don't disappoint, Phil - we're counting on ya!

I'd like that, but that seems too low. $450 is far more likely... assuming they wish to undercut Sony, that is. (If not, it'll be $500 tops for sure.)

@KelticDevil Same here, to be honest. Even discounting my insane belief of any sort of Sonic news at this thing (we did get Yakuza, so... eh, close enough!), I'd be hard-pressed to call it anything but a mighty disappointment.

Hopefully we can top the PS5 showcase next month with the July event. (I don't have much hope for the June one, but we'll see.)

@gingataisen Give 0 a chance through Game Pass. It's impossible to explain without playing it... but once you do, I guarantee that you'll fall in love. And even if you don't, it's still one hell of a ride that's at the very least worth trying.

Oh, they can just go blow one. Half their lineup is guns and sports - I wouldn't miss 'em.

Day-and-date Yakuza was a great surprise and DIRT 5 looks ready to scratch that Horizon itch. Everything else sucked - and, for how much hype they put into this, that's simply inexcusable.

For both their sake and ours, here's hoping the next shows will be better.

@Quaali Oh yeah. While most brought whatever they could find and EA simply reheated last year's leftovers, Sega came to Microsoft's table with the turkey, ham AND champagne... all at the same time to boot.

One of the very few home runs amidst an absolutely dire Inside Xbox. Great to see Sega back on board for launch and I hope that more Japanese content is coming down the pipeline.

Unpopular opinion: ...I don't hate it, but I'm also not a huge fan. To me, the X-in-a-circle is damn near iconic at this point... it'd be a shame to see it go.

Yakuza 3-5, on the other hand.... those would get me interested.

Let's go with Control and Yakuza Kiwami for Xbox One and then follow things up with Prince of Persia and Final Fantasy XIII for the 360 lineup.

Calling it now: demo drops first on Xbox just in time for the best 4/20 ever.

Given that the JP launch is April 14th, I assume that's when Kiwami drops stateside too.

A good thing, too - I need some sort of JRPG to distract from FF7R, after all.

But in all seriousness, I'm glad it's this way. All the companies have their strengths and weaknesses - ergo, corporate should focus on amplifying their benefits instead of tearing down the other guys' perceived weaknesses.

That's not to say that they should give up, mind you. Competition will always be necessary to keep us moving forward - and, based off the specs alone, this should be a very fun "war" for all involved.

In my heart of hearts, I hope the "reboot" portion refers to a good Sonic game... maybe even Adventure 3.

However, that's... highly unlikely, so here's what I'm expecting.

• "Big Sci-Fi" is Halo. That should go without saying - as even when factoring in my obvious bias, it's too soon for a new Gears and Mass Effect might as well be dead. (And if it isn't, it's sure as hell won't be MS-exclusive anymore.)
• "Fantasy": A question mark, but probably Fable. That's what the rumors surrounding Playground Team 2 have been saying for months now - and when there's smoke, there's fire.
• "Reboot"... This is where things get tricky. Given the strong wave of '90s nostalgia we're in right now, it's probably something Rare-related. Will it be worth it? Time shall tell... but it's definitely something to keep an eye out for.

Nah, Sony can keep it. Was never one much for MMOs in general.

FF7 Remake, on the other hand... that's welcome any time of day in my book. 😉

Plot twist: in true Square Enix fashion, one's Switch exclusive while the other requires a PS5 to play.

Oh, and BOTH are needed to understand the ever-growing Kudzu plot this series continually struggles with.

September? Well, accounting for COVID delays taking two-ish months to resolve... that means November/December, right?

If Series X gets delayed, then so does Halo. It'd suck for sure, but hey... safety first.

Already looks better than the Japanese Covenant dropshi... er, sorry, PS5 "devkit," so that's certainly a plus.

Doesn't matter either way to me in the end. What matters is the games.

Price sounds reasonable enough, but I think a March launch is the safest bet at this point. Worked wonders for both the PS2 and Switch, so why not?
