Ahead Of The Oblivion Remake, The Original Just Got Updated On Steam

We've been hearing a lot about the Oblivion remake recently (even though it hasn't been officially announced at all yet), and earlier this week, it was rumoured that it could be shadow dropping for Xbox Game Pass on Thursday.

That... didn't happen. Nevertheless, the person who rumoured that date remains confident that the Oblivion remake is coming very soon, pointing to a Steam update that recently removed the trailer for one of the versions of the game.

Now, looking into it a bit more, it's just one of the Steam versions that has lost its trailer - so this could just be some kind of routine cleanup rather than an indication of anything. Nevertheless, it's definitely got people's hopes up.

For what it's worth, DetectiveSeeds stands by their claim that the Oblivion remake will arrive imminently:

"I am standing by the information I put out on Oblivion Remake for this week OR next week. The contact that provided me this info 3 weeks ago has said it is coming, and their info has been solid as recent as this last Monday with DOOM: The Dark Ages. If it does not come true, then I will man up and say we got it wrong like you should do when doing this. For now, I am sticking by their info so you can hate on me all you want. I have thick skin and do my best."

As we've said before, we'll obviously keep you up to date about the Oblivion remake situation and let you know as soon as it's (hopefully) announced for Xbox consoles and beyond. Here's hoping it could be in the next few days!
