Rumour: Oblivion 'Remake' Expected To Arrive Soon, According To Latest Reports

I want this so bad, but I need to keep the hype level down until it gets confirmed and I get to see the improvements they've made. Love the game

I mean if that comes in the near future, that's yet another gem MS release in an already stacked and impressive Q1-Q2 window. Game Pass is just outstanding. Xbox are just killing it.

Hopefully it comes soon I can't get excited for games anymore every release is so vague and normally far away I can't get hyped for any games now till there's a confirmed release date!

The only way this will work is if they've redone the animations, which are quite bad - especially by today's standards. I think the combat could also use an update. I really hope that they've done more than just layer Unreal 5 graphics over it.

I played this back on the PS3, but got caught by a bug that, effectively, ruined my save file. So I never finished it.

@HonestHick My man HonestHick. I hope you are doing well. Gamepass is really flexing their muscles at this point. I actually just downloaded and started playing the original again. I will wait for this.

I would potentially give it a go, but oblivion was always the weakest of the modern three for myself. It was not a scratch on the setting of Morrowind or Skyrim, and just felt a bit safe overall. I also found the base game to be very repetative.

Knights of the Nine was bland but the armour and free recharge was so good it felt like you had to use it. The Highlight of the game was the Shivering Isles as it was just such a interesting location. It was like they took all the generic safety of the base and turned it round to make something truly bizarre.

This is such a waste, remaking Daggerfall or Morrowind, games that need a "modernized" scheme way more that Oblivion would be so much better

This could be the greatest or the most disappointing remake for me. Oblivion has such a special place in my heart. I don't want to see a half-assed Skyrim 2.0.

Prepare for the original 360 one to get Delisted regardless of how different the original and Remake are.

Oh yeah GP is flexing in 2024 and 2025 and we still have loads more coming this year with surprises to oome. I am all in. Can’t wait to see the work done on Oblivion. I really hope they nailed it and it’s a must have. 😀

Okay, never thought I'd say this, but Microsoft needs to slow down! I legit don't have enough time to play all the game pass releases as they come. I'm gonna be backlogged like crazy already, tossing this onto the pile is just cruel lol.

@Dan1283 yeah i know what you mean. We have to wait to see if it’s really true or not. But yeah that would be a nice game to hit the service and Xbox and PC in general.
