The Xbox Game Pass lineup for February 2025 has been looking pretty bare until now, so it's time for Microsoft to reveal some new titles! Today, six games have been announced for the service for later this month.
As usual, we're getting new additions to the Xbox Game Pass Standard tier in this roundup (including Starfield!), the majority of which were already part of Game Pass Ultimate. We've added a new section to the table to reflect this.
Don't forget about Far Cry New Dawn as well - it's just been added to Xbox Game Pass today!
Here's the full list of Xbox Game Pass additions for February 5-18, 2025:
Date |
Game |
Platform |
Tier |
---|---|---|---|
February 5 | Another Crab's Treasure | Console | Standard |
February 5 | Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes | Console | Standard |
February 5 | Starfield | Series X|S | Standard |
February 6 | Madden NFL 25 (EA Play) | Console, PC, Cloud | Ultimate, PC |
February 13 | Kingdom Two Crowns | Console, Cloud | Ultimate, Standard |
February 18 | Avowed | Series X|S, PC, Cloud | Ultimate, PC |
In addition to these, seven games will leave Xbox Game Pass in early February 2025, including the likes of Tales of Arise and A Little To The Left. They'll be discounted by at least 20% until they're removed from the service.
As for what's to follow, nothing has been confirmed for the rest of this month's Game Pass additions just yet, but a rumour has suggested that both Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, and Heroes of the Storm (PC) could be on the way.

No new indies 😥
@Decimateh Kingdom Two Crowns is an essential indie title, if you’re looking for one. Absolutely fantastic indie strategy title.
Had some feedback that the tiers were getting too confusing, so hopefully the new table layout is a bit easier to consume
There’s an indie showcase later this month. Betting there will be some shadow drops there.
@FraserG never bothered me tbh but I'd say it is better like that 🙂
@somnambulance looked at it before not my type of game tbh I don't think but if it's as good as your saying I suppose il give it a go🙂 thnx
@awp69 ah forgot bout that bet that's why but light atm🤣
I assume that's going to get filled out at the indie event thing, because that's concerning light.
There better be a lot more coming at ID@Xbox / after 18th because as much as i'm looking forward to Avowed only getting 3 games added including a Madden and a 2019 Far Cry Spin off is weak.
@abe_hikura Totally agree just 3 new additions is a big red flag. Back in 2020 & 2021 it averaged 22 games a month. 2019 & 2022 were 16 a month. The last 6 months has been 9. CHOICE is good in a subscription service.
@FraserG Yes it's clearer. Though I still think it would be even clearer if you separated standard, which is almost a separate service. It currently looks like a lot more NEW games are being to the service when in fact it's just 3 but some older games are also being added to Standard tier.
@Decimateh might as well give it a go. It’s a unique game, and Two Crowns is a multiplayer title. I’ve owned it on Switch for ages and it’s an addictive title for me, certainly in my top 20 most played games in the lifetime of that console.
@themightyant We are certainly getting more games at ID. I suspect we’ll get shadow drops. To A T, for instance, has been rated by ESRB. I expect that the ID showcase will be the brunt of February’s additions, so Xbox can focus on Avowed for most of the month and the indies can stack out the rest of the first half of the year.
@FraserG - much clearer (even for my pea-brain!) Thank you 👍
Kingdom Two Crowns has been on my wishlist forever, so glad to see it here.
Hang on. They actually took access to Starfield (and presumably other games) away from people who weren't subscribed to GPU when they changed to the new tier system?
@Markatron84 Yeah there was a thing about it because as you said tacking a game people were already playing.
I keep hoping kingdom eighties will get on here.
Game pass seems to now lean on first party titles, and old stuff you could get for $5 on sale. But. Indie showcase incoming so… will see. And avowed definitely pays for the month.
@FraserG
Definitely easier to understand although wouldn't it be just easier to put:
[Standard]
List
of
Games
[Ultimate]
List
of
Games
Genuine question, not a complaint. Maybe it's a lot more work.
@Lup Yeah, just an alternative way of doing it really. Happy to consider it for the future if the current system isn't favoured!
@FraserG Works for me thanks!
On topic, wasn't Kingdom Two Crowns in once? Or wasn't it free via Games with Gold? I can't recall. Either way, Avowed makes this month well worth it alone imo, and if we get Crash 4, what a month!
As a gamepass ultimate owner, I only get 3 new games, since the stardard games already are available in GPU. And I loose 7 games🤔
@Kaloudz I was wondering the same because I know I played it with a friend and I know I haven't bought it. Must have been a GwG
@abe_hikura Yeah same. I've played it (unless there's a predecessor or sequel I'm mixing it up with) before and I know it's not the sort of game I'd pay for 🤣
@TheAppEffect I might be wrong but I think the losses are announced each month for the whole month, whereas new games for the service are announced first for the first half of the month, and then a few weeks later we get another reveal for the second half of the month.
@Kaloudz I think you are right, I just got a little disappointed seeing the list and realizing I had played the 3 core games already.
@TheAppEffect Hey, if Crash 4 comes at the second half of the month, I'll be a happy bunny! You a Crash fan?
@Kaloudz back in the day I was a hugh fan and played 1, 2 and 3. I bought 4 when it came out, but it never got me excited, like the old ones did. Might just be me getting older and enjoying other types of games. But felt like the magic was gone.
@FraserG Maybe it’s just the title of article that misleading… I go “great 6 new games “ but when I read the article I get disappointed that it really is not 6 at all but one EA game, one new game and Avowed which has been announced oodles ago…as a ultimate subscriber
@TheAppEffect I jumped on the trilogy when it came to Xbox, but all I learned from that (despite really enjoying it) was how much of a sweat I must have been back in the day the OG trilogy released lol.
Another month of mehh for me. It'll get better soon
