SEGA is bringing its upcoming Two Point title to Xbox next week in the form of Two Point Museum - and ahead of the team's impending launch, we've got a bunch of fresh reviews and impressions to read over here.
So, we've gathered up a selection of the game's early reviews so far, complete with a quick snapshot of what each critic thinks of the title. Right, let's get into it!
GamingTrend (9.5/10)
"Two Point Museum isn’t just your run of the mill management sim, it’ll take your breath away with how much is on offer with its addicting gatcha expeditions and vast customisation options. Every Museum is a delight to play and if it's anything like its predecessors, I’m pumped for the sea of DLC to come. If you’re looking for a game to sink hundreds of hours into, then you can never go wrong with a Two Point game, but Two Point Museum may take the crown amongst its peers."
IGN (9/10)
"Two Point Museum is a rewarding, deep, challenging, and highly entertaining tycoon game that demonstrates Two Point Studios has really hit its groove with this third iteration of the idea. The variety of different exhibits to unlock and level up, the thrill of discovering new expedition maps, and the array of clever and easy-to-use management tools make designing and running a museum joyful and consistently rewarding. I've sunk more than 40 hours into it already and I could easily see doubling that without running out of stuff to do. Call the curator. They're really going to want to take a look at this."
PC Gamer (8.5/10)
"If you've enjoyed Two Point Hospital and Two Point Campus, it's an absolute no-brainer that you give Two Point Museum a try. I'd argue that, as a concept, a museum management sim is the most endearing out of them all, and it's been a joy to see just how great a canvas the concept has been for Two Point Studios to really go ham on its signature whimsy."
VGC (4/5)
"Fans of the Two Point series will already know that Two Point Museum is a silly but compelling simulation which is easy to learn but hides a surprising amount of depth and variety. The new expedition mode, despite feeling a tad lootboxy, nevertheless ensures that this isn't just Two Point Hospital or Campus with a new lick of paint, meaning while we'd heartily recommend it to newcomers, veterans who thoroughly rinsed its predecessors shouldn't worry about this just being more of the same."
Eurogamer (4/5)
"Alongside this stuff you get all the silliness and cute little extras you could hope for. This is a game for zooming in close. A museum curator will be scanning an alien pod with a PKE device. A ghost will be idly checking out the furnishings. A thief will be absconding with a fossil, while a kid then hangs from part of the frame it was once displayed on. In the aquariums, faces press up against the tanks. People clamber on the bigger exhibits and try to climb into them. What's that clown doing? Why are all those people suddenly running?"
Push Square (710)
"Two Point Museum successfully transposes an effective gameplay formula to another theme, with this game in particular packing some serious variety due to the different types of institutions you can build. It’s laugh out loud funny, moreish, and there’s an enjoyable difficulty curve. But if you’ve never been particularly fond of this type of tycoon title, don’t expect to find anything here that will change your mind."
Right now, we're looking at a score of 83 on Metacritic and an OpenCritic rating of 82 here, so it's safe to say that SEGA has delivered another solid entry for its Two Point series with this one. Two Point Campus heads to Xbox on March 4th, 2025.

I’m tempted by this one. I haven’t played a game in this genre since Rollercoaster Tycoon on 360. It’s not usually my cup of tea, but every now and then one grabs my attention.
@Odium I remember playing Theme Park and Theme Hospital, but they were simpler times and my brain just cant comprehend the heavy gameplay systems of today lol.
@Kaloudz that’s honestly my biggest concern. I don’t get enough game time to deal with a bunch of complicated systems to learn, that’s why I stick with mindlessly dismantling demons in games like Doom instead.
@Odium Same haha. it's mainly the reason I don't play tactical shooters too (like that Gears of War Tactics and the Alien game on Game Pass). Cool as they look, I know I'd spend more time on websites trying to work out how to play than I would actually playing lol.
More of an Indiana Jones sim game … just needs a bullwhip
I hate to be that person, but the end of your article says “Two point campus heads to Xbox on March 4th, 2025”. Just saying 😉
@Kaloudz I’m glad I’m not alone on that one. I always love the idea of those games but then I start them and drop them pretty quick. I don’t have the mental fortitude to deep dive into them to figure them out. I was pretty good with Midnight Suns but every time I had to go to the abbey I’d get bored and stop playing for too long so I’d have to keep relearning the game.
@Odium Yep! We're one in the same 1000%. I've been on that train too. Not sure if it's my age or the state of my focus, but I just can't gel with them and like you say, too long a break and you have to relearn everything. I'm playing Rare Replay at the moment (Perfect Dark specifically) and it's so nice to be back at simpler times lol.
@Kaloudz oh man, so many wonderful wasted nights with friends playing Perfect Dark’s multiplayer. Simpler times when games didn’t take 100 hours to beat and there weren’t enough tutorials to fill the credits of a college degree. 🤣
@Kaloudz If you're an Aliens fan then you should give Dark Descent a go! I'm not one for today's overly complex games myself but this one is really very simple and accessible from the outset. You can customize aspects of the difficulty settings then managing your squad between deployments is about as basic as it gets in strategy games. The real time action can be paused and in my humble opinion, this is the best Alien game after Isolation albeit a very different style. It nails the Aliens look and feel and the story is perfect for the universe it's set in.
@16BitHero Thanks man! If it's easy to understand and easy to follow, I might give it a peek in the coming weeks as I do love Alien (cannot wait for the TV series in a few weeks) but man, I'm such an info wuss. It can take just one convoluted menu to kill my interest haha. Will deffo give it a download to see if it's something I can gel with though
@Odium Oh it's epic isn't it. I'm doing Rare Replay for the milestone achievements and badges etc... which amounts to playing a bunch of classics. Did you ever hit it up? I just did PD last night so gunna try out PDZ (which I never got round to playing).
@Kaloudz I bought it at release and messed around with it a bit here and there. I really should get back into it, there’s so many great games on there. Plus, I can introduce my kids to more of the classics. I love that they aren’t bias against games just because they’re old or don’t look as good as modern games. My seven year old will play anything I recommend him, my four year old will play anything her brother plays. 😂
@Odium Lmao, whereas I'm stuck with a 14 year old that will only play Fortnite, an 8 year old that will only play games that she seemingly only spends 5 minutes in, and a 5 year old that wants everything she looks at. You need to teach me your ways man.
@Kaloudz @Kaloudz I wish I knew so I could give you an answer. My son has asked about Roblox a few times but there’s no chance in hell I’m letting him play that. Otherwise I just have a tendency to grab games on Game Pass I’m pretty sure he’ll enjoy, most of the time I’m right.
@Odium Man, Roblox and Rec Room (is it?) full of pervs and salty adults that just don't hold back. I don't blame you at all. It's a pool of hate those games are.
@Kaloudz @Odium I've very much enjoyed your comment conversation! I've gone back to Banjo and Perfect Dark myself recently. Relatively simple games with timeless soundtracks. It's great reading about your kids preferences as I am hopefully going to embark on that particular adventure soon too!
@16BitHero Thanks man! Yeah I just finished Perfect Dark - or at least I thought I did as Rare Replay will only give you the medal for earning 150 gamerscore. (Thankfully it doesn't ask you to max it out). Great game. I'll do Banjo Tooie next maybe. I forgot how much Rare Replay had to offer (milestones, stamps, etc...) all unlocked through play.
As for kids. Man... Get all the sleep you can beforehand haha. I can't speak for @Odium but mine are sleep leeches and time suckers. Your sleep and freedom time gets cut by 50% 🤣
@Kaloudz I've heard the same from many friends (I'll be an older dad). Trying to plough through the biggest backlog I've ever had beforehand!
@16BitHero Well good luck when the time comes my man (oh, and good luck picking a name - or thinking you have a say - the ladies have that locked down these days O_o ).
@Kaloudz Ha I've contributed to the list but I can't help feeling I'll be ultimately downvoted. Maybe I'll get to choose a middle name...
@16BitHero I didn't even get that 🤣🤣 and one of them has four (yes, four) middle names. The lunacy eh?
@16BitHero @Kaloudz this has been the best online interaction I’ve had in quite a while! Roblox is a terrifying place, my son will live without it, I don’t trust people enough to let him on that.
Rare Replay is one of the most underrated bundles in gaming. There’s so many incredible games on there for such a low price, especially if you have Game Pass.
I can absolutely confirm that my kids are sleep terrorists. I can get five hours a night max between getting the kids to bed and what time I get up, it is VERY rare that I get that thanks to my kids waking me most nights. Most of my gaming these days is on Steam Deck or I force myself to stay up on weekends just to get some game time in. But they’re worth the exhaustion and missing of my favorite hobby.
I lucked out and was able to pick out my daughter’s name, Maya, named after my favorite Borderlands character and, even though the name was picked before I learned this, a character in my favorite piece of fiction Stormlight Archive.
(Also, four middle names is wild!)
@16BitHero @Odium Yeah I agree, it's nice to have a random bit of banter without all the drama haha. Roblox is awful, even in games like Adopt Me (is it?) that are massively aimed at little kids.
Lmao! Glad it's not just me that gets a handful of hours a night max. Worse thing is, they seem to have grown an allergy to shouting for their other parent. It's me when they need something in the night, it's me that gets shouted when they need a favour and it's me that gets shouted when they need something fixing. I feel like a glorified leaf wafter sometimes. I too get minimal gaming time. Or at least not like I used to.
Maya is a great name! I wanted a name or two from a show (Buffy) but I never got it haha. And I know right? Four middle names O_o she sounds like something from Ancient Rome.
Honestly, kids are the best but yeah your time is no longer meaningful when they come along haha. You'll be here alongside us moaning when the time comes The best part of parenting absolutely being how an illness can spread through the home, save you until last, and be a million times worse than it was for anyone else
@Kaloudz you’re not kidding, I’ll be in the middle of cooking dinner or doing the dishes, my wife will be sitting next to the kids and they’ll come into the kitchen to ask me for something. Really? Mommy is right there and she’ll gladly help you! Then, of course, if I am the one there offering help it’s usually, “I want mommy!” or “No! Mommy do it!”
As far as sickness goes, I don’t know what you’re talking about, I love when I’m holding my daughter and she is facing away from me but the second she has to sneeze she turns to do it directly into my face and/or open mouth. It’s great! Then of course, you and your significant other get sick after by the kids feel better, so it’s not like you get to rest or relax because they feel better and want everything. My wife gets mad at me because I’m not the “I’m sick, so I’m dying and this is the end of the world type,” I’m the “Sigh, I’m sick, dishes need to get done, dinner needs to get made, kids need help with homework,” kind of person. She likes that I’m not the typical guy that reverts to being a child when I’m sick but she hates that I won’t rest when I really need it.
You know what though, seeing my kids grow and shape their personalities is awesome. My son and I went to get haircuts yesterday and as we were leaving this random gentleman said, “You have great kids. They’re so well behaved.” There’s very few feelings better than that as a parent because it reassures you that you’re doing your best.
@Kaloudz @Odium Cheers chaps for the insightful and amusing parental remarks etc. Lots to look forward to apparently ha. I'd completely forgotten which article this comment thread originated on. Have a great day!
@Odium Lmao I'm so glad I'm not alone in that and yep!! 1000% mine do the same when they sneeze and cough in your face after looking the other way for half and hour lol!
You're spot on correct though, it's lovely to watch them come into their own and for people to comment on them from afar. It truly does show (speaking of, I have parent's evening at school in an hour). And you're more than welcome @16BitHero - something to look forward to when your time comes lol and yeah I totally forgot this thread originated from Two-Point too
@Kaloudz kids are jerks! But they’re great. 🤣
@16BitHero I won’t lie, I completely forgot which article this was too, we kind of took it over with random banter … I’m ok with it! Have a great day!
