You know we're truly getting into Game Awards territory when the first rumours start cropping up. We've seen a few things hanging around on social media today, and they hint at a particularly big version of the event this year.
The main thnig everyone's focusing on is a couple of posts from VGC's Andy Robinson and The Verge's Tom Warren, both of whom are expecting major things at the show. As you can see, this apparently isn't just a prediction...
Beyond this, Dealabs Magazine is reporting today that the sequel to Hazelight Studios' It Takes Two, expected to be called "Split Fiction", will likely be revealed at The Game Awards 2024 with a release date of March 6th, 2025.
There are other rumours (and plenty of speculation) floating around, but nothing seems quite as concrete as the Split Fiction reveal. Many are questioning whether GTA 6 might be getting its second trailer at the event, for example, and Resident Evil 9 keeps getting brought up as a potential reveal... although it might more wishful thinking than anything.
In any case, we don't have long to wait. The Game Awards 2024 streams live next Thursday, December 12th, and you'll be able to watch it here at Pure Xbox - we'll also have a full recap while highlighting all the biggest Xbox-related news.
