Stalker 2 developer GSC Game World has released a statement on the launch of its sprawling sequel on Xbox Game Pass - reassuring fans that fixes are coming for some of the title's biggest issues.
If you haven't seen by now, Stalker 2 contains its fair share of bugs and glitches on day one, with some of them even preventing us here at Pure Xbox from posting a review on launch day. However, the team has committed to getting fixes out the door ASAP.
"There are so many things in the game that we are incredibly proud of", the statement reads. It then goes on to say "we're absolutely committed to being here, monitoring your feedback, and quickly fixing any issues that need our attention".
We'll throw the team's full statement down below:

The developer closes out its launch day message by saying that it'll "switch to larger updates that include constant improvements" — once any quick fixes have been released — and it also has plans for "free in-game content" in the future. You can expect a roadmap detailing that content "later in December", the team says.
What do you make of this launch day statement from GSC Game World? Drop us your thoughts on it down below.

Its good they've put this out, looking forward to playing, Kudos to them.
Let them cook.
I think the problem is right there on the first line.
"It's out now".
Maybe it shouldn't be.
Just depends whether they get it fixed up before it leaves game pass…
Luckily I have 3 weeks off over Xmas, so I’m sitting this down until then at the earliest.
Im
Sure they will get it improved.
Respect, the game is amazing , but the optimization is dogshit tbh, still amazing nonetheless and I quit games for way less problems so the game is too fun
@BIG3 You do your cooking in the kitchen. Once you bring the meal out to the table, if it’s still raw inside it’s too late. At that point you can only shame-walk it back into the kitchen, into the oven, while your guests are left wondering ‘Why wasn’t it left in there until it was done? Does this person know how to cook?’
@Scirius
I’m series x not a single performance issue so far from graphics or sound.
Looking forward to playing this but, like with all new releases, I will be waiting 3-6 months to play it. Gives them time to tidy it up. At least it’s on game pass so I won’t need to wait for a sale!
Played for 4 hours and had no issues so far on series x. Early impression from me is its looking good & from seeing the map I may be exploring the zone for quite a while.
Having a quick food break then diving right back in.
My biggest issue so far is the camera drift. Aiming is all over the place, so I have no chance of shooting from the hip. Walking anywhere isn’t smooth either. However, I do think I just need to get used to everything, as this is my first S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game.after a couple of patches and getting used to the game I'm sure it will be fantastic
@OldGamer999 the controls, camera, floatiness, frame pacing and the stutters are really bad
It's a miracle this game exists at all considering the circumstances. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. A lot more so than the typical AAA launch woes at least.
One of the few developers where, with what their situation has been, I'm like fair enough, lads.
I’ve only played through the intro so far but I’ve got to say I was expecting the graphics to be much better than this after the gameplay videos that we’ve seen before release. It was obviously running on a powerful PC and certainly not representative of Series X/S.
"Take it or leave it...it's free, so you're getting what you paid for!" That's the way all Game Pass games come off to me. I know there are other factors contributing to a rocky development cycle, but still...Microsoft's quality control for its exclusives is severely lacking.
After an hour of playing on PC, I didn't notice any bugs or performance issues (aside from framerate taking a hit when in a city).
Now, I know this game is probably huge, so an hour doesn't mean much. But, so far, not a buggy mess, yet!
Again, thank you dear game pass gamers !
You are my favourite guinea pigs.
I'll wait 3 or 4 months before touching this game... Remember Cyberpunk 2077 ???
hope they fix the Xbox controller drifting bug asap, it's unplayable
other bugs they can fix later, but the Xbox drifting (dead zone) controller bug really needs a fix asap, its unplayable (aiming is nigh impossible)
