We've been covering these big No Man's Sky updates for months now, and even though July's offering was basically a complete game-changing overhaul from Hello Games, it doesn't appear to have slowed the team down in any way, shape or form.
Announced today, No Man's Sky's Aquarius update introduces fishing, cooking recipes, a diving suit, underwater jetpacks, a whole fishing Expedition and more to the ever-evolving No Man's Sky adventure. Here's your typical summary from Hello Games' Sean Murray:
As the team says, this water-themed update feels like the perfect follow-up to last month's 'Worlds' update with its overhauled water tech. Here's how that tech, and the community's reception to it, inspired No Man's Sky Aquarius:
"Our last update was WORLDS PART I just a few weeks ago. It resulted in our biggest player numbers in over 5 years. Eight years in and we feel so lucky to have so many folks still care about this game we love. It gives our tiny team energy, making us want to pour more into the No Man’s Sky universe.
Something people really loved in the Worlds update was the new water technology – tons of players were posting videos of themselves just chilling at the water’s edge. One piece of fan art in particular stopped us in our tracks, of a player lazily fishing from their wing of their starship. This art, and others like it, was right at the heart of the inspiration behind the Aquarius update."
NMS fans, this update looks like yet another treat for you all - and the Hello Games title is still on Xbox Game Pass for subscribers to enjoy.

I agree with someone who said NMS is starting to feel a bit like a test bed for Light No Fire. I’m completely fine with that. Even if they share some similar features the settings are entirely different.
I has some graphical glitches with the last update, I hope they are fixed now.
I just finished the final Galaxy jump. So excited to see the team bringing so much love to this game. I'm still finding things to do all these years later.
We could only hope other devs pay attention and go back to really caring about their games.
