Late last week, the team at BioWare re-introduced its next Dragon Age title as Dragon Age: The Veilguard, and today's Xbox Games Showcase delivered a fresh trailer ahead of EA's big gameplay reveal later in the week.
This new look at The Veilguard was a pretty brief one, but clearly, the team at BioWare is putting a huge emphasis on its new companions and what you'll all be getting up to in the studio's latest Dragon Age epic later this year.
Here's some more Dragon Age: The Veilguard info - coming to Xbox Series X|S in Fall 2024:

"When corrupt gods break free from centuries of darkness, the odds will be stacked against you. You can't do this alone.
Rally a team of seven companions, each with rich lives and deep backstories. These are characters to befriend, and even fall in love with. Among them, an assassin, a necromancer, and a detective will each bring their own expertise and unique abilities to the fight. You are never alone; decide who to take into battle and together face down demons, dragons and even ancient gods."
Oh, and if you'd like to see more of the game in action ASAP - EA is set to deliver a big 15-minute gameplay deep dive of Dragon Age: The Veilguard on June 11th at 8am PT / 11am ET / 4pm BST.

Was it just me or did this game feel too "cartoony". I am really scared this may be the last kick of the can for Bioware, and I am not sure it looks like it will be all that successful.
Looked kinda goofy... more Disney than Dragon Age...
Also not sure why they wasted time on it since it's not exclusive, not first-party, not game pass... (but I suppose it will be on EA Play and Game Pass eventually!)
@jesse_dylan It looked a bit like Shrek, right?
I have to agree that I’m concerned… I wouldn’t be surprised if this didn’t turn out to be a live action game by the trailer….
Nothing shown of this has been instilling any hope for the game.
@Banjo- lol yeah, good call. It actually did. ewww. To be fair, the "disney" thread has always been in Dragon Age, but it was mostly just an aesthetic in the older games (lineage of using Sims facial tech)... but this is full on cutesy shrek, minus donkey.
@jesse_dylan You are more of an expert than me, that's for sure!
@Banjo- I've always wanted to like Dragon Age but never quite got there. I think even the first one (Origins) is overrated. But I guess I've always just been a wannabe Bioware fan, and never quite at peace with their stuff. When Baldur's Gate came out, I was disappointed and felt it had more in common with Warcraft 2 than Dungeons and Dragons. BG3 was incredible, but obviously that was no longer Bioware
@jesse_dylan I have to admit that I haven't played any of the games yet! I have Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age II on my Series X. Both were given with Games with Gold.
I had little hope for this...and now I have even less...tbh I am not that bothered about this ..but if this stinks ...then Mass effect might be canned...and I need more mass effect
i'll skip this one.
Not going to lie, this trailer did absolutely nothing for me.
I'm not sure if I'll like this, but I'll watch the gameplay trailer and see if I like it. Maybe try it when it's out.
Feels like Dragon Age: Redfall
Trailer definitely hyped me for this. It was really cool how they (not) showed the main character.
And man, Hardins was really hot this time.
I thought this was some spinoff mobile moba game? Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
Biggest disappointment, along with Fable. At least the showcase had plenty of other games that looked great.
