It's been a good few months since Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered arrived on Xbox in digital form, and now the teams at Aspyr and Crystal Dynamics have unveiled their plans for multiple physical editions of the game.
In total, three different versions of the newly-remastered Tomb Raider trilogy are coming, but only two will launch on Xbox. We'll drop all of the information down below - just note that the 'Deluxe Edition' appears to be skipping an Xbox release for now.
In addition to Limited Run, these physical versions of the game will apparently be available at "major retailers" as well (we've already spotted the PS4 and Switch versions on Amazon UK). The release date is September 24, 2024.
Base Edition:
-
Includes a physical copy of Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft and a jewel case
-
Available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch for $34.99 / €34.99 / £29.99

-
Available on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch for $54.99 / €54.99 / £49.99
Limited Run Games Collector's Edition:
- Includes a physical copy of Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft, a SteelBook, two replica Lara Croft pistols in a lit shadow box, three 12x16 posters, a set of premium trading cards, the full collection’s original soundtrack (in both physical CD and digital download formats), a map book, and Lara Croft polygonal figurines from each title
- Available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch for $199.99.

Just like that digital debut back in February, these upcoming disc releases will mark the very first time that the original Tomb Raider trilogy is available to buy for Xbox on store shelves. It's quite a monumental occasion then, for one of gaming's most famous franchises!
It's been an interesting few months for old-school Tomb Raider on Xbox, and we might not be done yet. Just after release, fans spotted an easter egg for the fourth game in the series, but we've not heard anything about a 'The Last Revelation' remaster yet. Let's see what happens once these physical editions are out in the wild!
Going to add one of these to your Xbox collection? Tell us which down in the comments section below.

Seems like in the UK the physical editions exclude Xbox… please correct me if i’m wrong but TGC, Game, Amazon and Smyths are all not stocking an Xbox version.
I notice that the pictures show that the game only says "Xbox One" on the cover, and the LRG listing particularly specifies "Xbox One". Normally Smart Delivery games also list Series X as one of the platforms on the case, so will this not support Smart Delivery? If so, a bit of a strange move to have a physical PS5 version but not technically have a physical version for the 9th generation Xbox console, but opting to support both 8th gen consoles. I'm not trying to incite any console warrior arguments or anything, it's just a small interesting detail that I noticed.
The real question is whether or not the physical edition disc's will contain the games as they were before being patched.
I thought I never had to say this...but it feels great to get a physical release on Xbox.
Deluxe edition, for me. And that's an instant buy, as I was really waiting for this !
Next : Hi-Fi Rush !
And maybe, someday... Alan Wake 2 and Hellblade 2...
@Gamer_X I totally understand you.
The last physical release that really surprised me, on Xbox, was Tekken 8 : some goodies included in a nice slipcase and, foremost, the complete game on two discs ! So no download required, as it's more and more often the case on Series X...
This may seem silly, or useless, but I really felt respected, as a consumer, when I saw that.
That Limited Run collectors edition with the dual pistols and figures look absolutely sick. I’d love to get that but wow the price hits hard lol.
@Bobobiwan You truly get my sentiment about it.
