Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered only landed on Xbox last week, and fans are already discovering some interesting secrets tucked into the new collection. Specifically, TR fans have spotted what appears to be a teaser for Tomb Raider 4, or 'The Last Revelation', hidden within Tomb Raider 3 Remastered.
Yep, this radar image found in a Tomb Raider 3 level seems to show the 1-3 Remastered release date up at the top left, and then co-ordinates for Giza, Egypt down the bottom left. Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation takes place in Egypt, following the events of Tomb Raider 3.
Naturally, fans are thinking that this little teaser hints at plans for the team to remaster The Last Revelation now that the new collection is out in the wild. This fourth Tomb Raider title features a lot of the same tech as 1-3 (as does 'Chronicles'), so it'd certainly make sense to remaster one — or both of those — on the back of Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered.
Whether this turns out to be a simple Easter Egg or an actual remaster tease remains to be seen - we wouldn't hold our breath on a re-release of The Last Revelation just yet. We'd like to see it though - we enjoyed the new collection and the fourth game is one of our favourites from the classic era of Tomb Raider!

Really enjoying the remaster so far. Got it on Sunday and finished the first 3 levels of Tomb Raider 1 and finished the first 2 levels of tomb raider 2 (great wall and venice) venice was more confusing than I remember!
Such nostalgia. And really great games.
Maybe it's because of my past experience, but the tank controls are perfectly fine. I actually prefer them to the modern control scheme for these games!
Going to get on with some more tomb raiding tonight when the little ones go to bed.
It would make me giddy for sure. Conveniently the main menu looks like it’s set up for more games, I would like to see it added to this one.
I hope so I definitely need a good action adventure third person game especially this year.
I will buy this eventually never was into these ones the first time around but look fun maybe when there's a sale or when I build up enough reward points
I can picture them doing the next three like this. The team behind the 1 - 3 remasters did a great job. I’m still on the first game. Taking my time, I don’t want to rush it and I’m loving every second.
I played the Last Revelation on the Dreamcast. It was a huge leap in graphics at the time. I don’t know how well that one holds up but at the time I loved it. I would like to replay it again.
The Last Revelation is my favourite entry in the entire franchise so having a 2nd collection with that and Chronicles would be fantastic (having Angel of Darkness in the 2nd collection would also be nice but feels more unlikely).
I pre-ordered tomb raider but still not got round to play it ,the outer worlds has me hooked but will after I've completed that on pc and on Xbox
@EvilSilentFrame I read your comments about the whole series and I completely agree. I consider Crystal Dynamics one of the best developers in the world and I liked the new Tomb Raider games with the perfect camera, awesome graphics and smooth gameplay much more than the Uncharted games, but Lara had a personality crisis in the survivor trilogy. It goes from, I am a snowflake to I am going to brutally murder 50 men that I don't know and that I don't need to in one minute. Even when one of the games tries to justify why she would risk everything and every friend for Dad's map, it's almost impossible to believe. In Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the dialogue also makes her even less coherent. The solitude, puzzles and wild animals suit her adventures way better, so I hope that the next game is also made by Crystal Dynamics but more like the classics. I'm delighted to have the classics on Xbox.
@Banjo- I too am so delighted to have the classics on Xbox. I keep switching between the new graphics and the old graphics. I really like how they remastered these games. This is how a remaster should be done. So happy to have them.
I didn’t hate the reboot of the TR games, it just felt a little off. Even her movements were off. She was pretty clumsy in her jumps where in the originals, the controls were clumsy, but her animations made her more acrobatic. The clumsy young Lara didn’t make much sense. Fighting waves of army men didn’t make much sense. The games for what they were are good, but didn’t feel like TR. I mean, where are the Tombs? They could have called those games something else and not been in the TR world and I think I would have liked them better.
On a side note Banjo, tomorrow is Nintendo’s Partner Showcase. Maybe we will hear something new on a remaster or new Project Zero/Fatal Frame? Oh the possibilities! 😝
@EvilSilentFrame I agree as usual, my friend. If it's just Hi-Fi Rush on Switch I'd be disappointed, because I have it on Xbox. I don't know if you read my comment on our thread, but in the remaster of Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, in Snap Mode, you can select something called Psychic Lens that makes ghosts from the previous games appear. The ghosts shown from 1 and 3 have revamped models. Where are our 1-2-3 remasters? Are they making them? ☺️ I just want a confirmation, I don't mind waiting.
@Banjo- I didn’t see that which is weird because I was getting messages anytime somebody posted on that thread. I’m going to have to go and check that out. If they have the ghosts from 1 and 3 in there, it makes me believe they are working on those remasters. If so, will we get them all at one time or would it be separate like they did IV and V? Either way, I just want to replay them again on current hardware. I really don’t want to have to dig out my original Xbox. Plus to finally have the third game on an Xbox would be amazing. They had to jump through hoops to get IV on there. I bet the original trilogy is coming.
@EvilSilentFrame Yes, after releasing a remaster of a Japan-only Wii game, I want to believe that re-releasing the first three entries is a no-brainer. I have no idea if they'll release them together or separated because some people say that if they're separated, then they should start with the first game. I don't mind, I just want them.
