Team Xbox is back with another free Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S dynamic background! This time it's to celebrate the release of Destiny 2: Lightfall, and this is definitely a pretty cool looking addition to the lineup.
To find the background, all you need to do is go to Settings, followed by General - Personalisation, followed by My Background, and then Dynamic Backgrounds. In there, you should see the Destiny 2: Lightfall option.

We've seen plenty of cool dynamic backgrounds added to Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S lately, including for the releases of Dead Space and Pentiment, along with a unique background for the Xbox "Stellar Shift" controller.
Keep in mind that if you're hoping to get stuck into Destiny 2's new Lightfall update today, you may run into some issues signing in on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S - Bungie has offered up some potential solutions for this already:

What I'm not a fan of is you don't seem to be able to buy other dynamic backgrounds. On Xbox 360 you could, and on One. On series X however you seem to be stuck with these special event only ones. Someone please correct me?
It's not very dynamic. None of them are actually. They are all kind of boring and don't move around very much. They should be called "non-static image Backgrounds"
I just want to see an update to the 2023 new Home Screen. It needs a lot of work to make these more viewable and just less clutter on it. I like the UI for the most part, but i do not like clutter and add’s. Fingers crossed we see something new from the insider program soon about it.
@Kaloudz There is a State of Decay 2 dynamic background in which you’ve commented on but if you mean the original SoD then I don’t see that ever happening, maybe we will for the third one.
I prefer the Dead Space dynamic background, that’s my favourite right now. Not much goes on at all apart from stars glowing but it looks smart.
@Kaloudz There sure is! It was back in October last year, you commented asking if there’s any zombies in the background as you couldn’t see any (there isn’t). I said I’d preferred the one in the thumbnail with the billboard as I have a thing for picturesque images with sunsets/sunrises, if that was available I’d of still had that background set to this day.
@Kaloudz My memory is very hit and miss tbh, sometimes I remember things from years ago but other times I forget stuff that was said or happened the day before 😂 anyway hope you enjoy your new (old to us lol) SoD dynamic background.
