Wow, it's a big Xbox Game Pass day today, folks! Four games are coming to the service today, October 20th, including the Amnesia: Collection which contains three titles all by itself!
Here's a breakdown of everything heading to the service on October 20th.
Amnesia: Collection (Console, PC, Cloud)
Amnesia: The Dark Descent puts you in the shoes of Daniel as he wakes up in a desolate castle, barely remembering anything about his past. Exploring its eerie pathways, you must piece together Daniel's troubled memories and uncover the horror that lies deep below.
In Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs, wealthy industrialist Oswald Mandus wakes in his bed wracked with fever and haunted by dreams of a dark and hellish engine. All he knows is that his children are in grave peril, and it's up to him to save them.
Amnesia: Justine puts you through a series of trials constructed by a demented mind. Will you risk your own life to save others?
Amnesia: Rebirth (Console, PC, Cloud)
A first-person horror adventure. Uncover your past and survive the Algerian desert. Fear is your enemy; stay calm to not succumb to an illness threatening you and your loved one. Avoid darkness, hide from monsters and solve puzzles. Adventure Mode available for a less scary experience.
Phantom Abyss (Xbox Series X, Series S, PC, Cloud)
Phantom Abyss is a massive asynchronous multiplayer game that casts players into procedurally-generated temples and tasks them with retrieving the sacred relics hidden within deadly chambers.
Soma (Console, PC, Cloud)
Enter the world of SOMA and face horrors buried deep beneath the ocean waves. Delve through locked terminals and secret documents to uncover the truth behind the chaos. Seek out the last remaining inhabitants and take part in the events that will ultimately shape the fate of the station.

The Amnesia games and Soma are all excellent. Frictional Games are a top developer. I recommend starting with Amnesia:The Dark Descent but Soma is a good starting point too.
@Dr_Luigi "I did another gold conversion to ultimate today so have another 3 years for £128."
Excuse my naivity but I didn't realise this still worked! I still have 2 years of GP so not really something I can do right now but I thought that was a small window when GP first launched.
Not my thing, to me this is the bargain bucket side of GP that doesn't appeal to my tastes.
I do realise though that a lot of people will be into these titles, so I'm happy for them, and there are plenty of titles on the service that do appeal to me, so I'm not complaining. I'm just not gonna play these titles - I prefer the bargain bucket psn titles this month, and I'd better play Plauge Tale quick before GOW arrives!
Fantastic value though if you are into these titles!
Never heard of SOMA before.
Is it just the original 7 year old version or has it gone through any graphical upgrades with this release?
@Dr_Luigi Thanks for the info. I remember that warm feeling of buying three years of gold and then having it convert to GP Ultimate...
Phantom Abyss is real cool and fun to play! Great idea and feels polished even though it is still in Game Preview.
soma & amnesia collection graphics look terrible... looks like ps2 game. but i will try playing them
I stopped playing Soma last gen as it was too scary for me lol… their was this one particular piece I just didn’t want to play hahaha. Yes their reputation is certainly valid at Amnesia.
For me... None of them.
Could you perhaps give that option when doing poll's?
Seriously.... Utter garbage day you should be writing! How on earth do you fake being so happy about this! Old ass trilogy of games I played years ago when they dropped free on psplus and old ass game that is on ps premium now and some puzzle dungeon explorer holy ***** what tripe. Where are the new big exclusives ive been waiting for since forever, im bored of this crap service now! Ive always owned both PS and Xbox but this gen I thought I'd actually play the Xbox for once! Nah still bloody waiting for big releases😑 I hope starfield is groundbreaking!
@Titntin bargain bucket? According to what criteria? The fact that you haven't played any of the games so they must not be good? Get over yourself. These are highly rated games. Stop hating on games just because you think it's hip to bash indie games.
@BCJ666 you sound like a miserable person. Soma is an amazing game. Just because you want new AAA games doesn't mean you need to bash the games that DO come out. Not everyone has already played them.
@kiwisoup
"bargain bucket? According to what criteria?"
Amnesia collection £3.49
Amnesia rebirth £3.49
Phantom abyss £12.49
Soma £3.49
Absolutely by the above prices for them? Though I seem to have raised your ire with the phrase, I assure you it is misplaced, as all the best games end up in the bargain bucket, its a natural place in a games sales life cycle.
They are bargains precisely because they are good games which can now be experienced so cheaply. Whilst there's a lot of value in playing such titles, I have enough day one current titles vying for my attention that overlooked bargains are usually not what im seeking. Im not direspecting their worthiness, im just not seeking something like that at present.
@Titntin Fair enough. I rescind my hostility, lol.
However, Amnesia Rebirth literally just launched on Xbox and is $30 here which is the full price.
