Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is now available, but it's having a few issues at launch. One of those issues relates to laggy game lobbies on Xbox, where severe stuttering hurts the online experience quite a bit. Due to extremely busy servers at launch, this problem can't be fully eliminated right now, but there are a few ways to smooth things out.
How To Fix Warzone 2 Lag on Xbox
If you want to fix Warzone 2 lag on Xbox, your best bet is to switch to another server. When you're having issues, simply leave the game during the pre-game lobby and find another more suitable server with a smoother connection.
However, we've noticed that servers often improve as match time progresses, suggesting that this issue could be tied to the huge player counts that populate servers at the beginning of matches. To put it simply, the longer the match goes on the more players leave, with connection improving as a result.
Neither of these fixes are completely fool proof, but right now they're your best bet at getting around laggy Xbox lobbies on Warzone 2. It might be a good idea to take your time looting up in the early game, before engaging in gunfights when fewer players are left in the lobby!
