I know we're an Xbox site, but our very good friends at our sister site PushSquare are having a bit of a liveblogging session - complete with the entire conference streamed live, of course - from tonight's PlayStation Meeting.
It kicks off at 6PM EST (11PM GMT/UK), and we'll be there watching alongside the rest of the world.
Once the conference is over, feel free to jump into this topic and give us your thoughts about what you think the announcements will mean for Xbox 720/Durango!
Honestly I didnt watch the announcement so I cant say on what it might mean for MS. I am sure they they were watching it closely though.
For me I wasnt impressed the PS line since the PS2. The 360 for me was the better value and between the PS4 and the 720 thats what it will come down too is what system is the better value. If the games that I want to play is on both systems and the PS4 is higher than the 720 than I will go with the 720 and vice versa.
Of course I have a Wii U now as well so we may see some games being on all three systems so there might not be a reason for me to get another system. Its all about the game line up for me.

After seeing the PS4, unless the Final Fantasy is really good, I'll get a 720 after I get a Wii U. I had high hopes, but the tech demos weren't even as good as some Wii U games I've seen announced recently, no joke. I know the hardware's better than the Wii U's, but that speaks for how much better it is. Only like another half-step over the Wii U to next gen. I'm exited to see the Xbox 720 get announced, assuming they outdo Sony's lackluster announcement.
None of this really means anything yet. The real battle will be E3. I was impressed with Sony showed though and right now I'm leaning towards getting the PS4 first. Still have plans on getting the next Xbox as well though and I'm interested to see when MS will respond with its next-gen console announcement.
I liked a few of the games on display. DriveClub looks outstanding. Killzone looked good to me - although it's just more Killzone.
The controller puts me off a bit. I'm hoping it undergoes a revision, but it looks really roughly cobbled together. Matte and gloss finishes all over it seemingly at random, horrible looking sticks, and those triggers are STILL all kinds of wrong.
The very limited information about the PlayStation Eye 4 suggests that it was tacked on at the last minute, also. Almost a bit like the SixAxis system, that was thrown in at the final moment to counteract the Wii's success.
