Just doing the admin on this group, looks like we are currently at a 3 way tie for next month's game...
With 2 votes a piece, Trek to Yomi, Mass Effect (1) Legendary Edition and Dead Space are vying for first place.
Hopefully some more votes come in to tip the scales!
How do you vote? Just say which you prefer? In that case...
I'd like to get to all 3 of those games so it's a bit of a hard choice. But I think I'll go with Mass Effect. Whatever ends up winning I'll be happy with anyway,

@WCB yeah basically! You can vote for as many games as you want as well. I just tally up all the votes and whatever comes out on top becomes our game for next month.
The full list of games for next month (and the tally) can be found in Post 1453
Feel free to throw any suggestions into the hat too and I will add them to the list!
I just finished this today and really enjoyed my time with it. The audio was fantastic and complemented the story so well. The characters were interesting. The setting and visuals were lovely. The story was engaging and the dialogues were believable.
I will say that this is the first time in a LiS game that I didn’t feel completely in control of the main character’s developing morality/ character. The choices/ consequences presented seemed to present themselves in subtle ways that make the decisions seem less explosive than in previous LiS games.
I am glad that there is less teen angst in this chapter 😅. While I was once a teenager and can appreciate the overall story ( of previous titles) it is nice to have an older main character.
@ralphdibny wow that was quite a story for someone writting on the phone
I never fully embraced MGS as I never owned PlayStation consoles (have played bits of some entries though) but it is definitely on my bucket list. I now own the HD remake, V and rising and will try the first ones when my Steam deck arrives!
@ralphdibny So many things I agree with on your post. Especially that there are many types of games, some suit long movie like cutscenes others don't, this will always be subjective, but ultimately as long as we are having fun and we're engaged that's what matters. And when you are enjoying all other aspects of a game you are definitely more lenient to any faults.
It's reminds me of the 'How can Elden Ring (or any other game) get 10/10s when the performance isn't perfect?' argument. While I don't want to open up a whole can of worms ultimately we review games based on our experiences and how it made us feel. If you had the best time playing and it made you feel more significantly interested and engaged than other games, and you couldn't wait to get back into that world, then a 10/10 can be entirely valid for you. 10/10 means different things to different people but it shouldn't mean perfect, as there is no such thing. To me simply means the best in that class, something that elevates the genre or medium. Which in the case of Elden Ring it was this to many. (fwiw I haven't played Elden Ring yet, just using it as an example)
Back to cutscenes. Definitely wish there was an industry standard to A) pause cutscenes B) advance cutscenes/dialogue to the next step in games that support it, C) Skip cutscenes. Also fallen foul of either skipping the whole cutscene when trying to pause and not being able to pause or skip cutscenes in many games. Both frustrating. As ever choice is good! Sometimes I want them, other times, especially on replays, I often want to skip forward and just play. Depends on the game, depends on my mood too.
Your 32-30 FIFA made me lol, and MGS ones feel for your GF Definitely also woken up to a car crash on more than one occasion bonnet bucked against a lamppost and a trail of devastation in my wake. Video games teaching life lessons again. As for Power Rangers I feel I missed out. So bad it's good? One can dream.
Back on full topic. Still haven't started Life is Strange: TC as i'm trying to speed run Final Fantasy X before it leaves Game Pass later this week. I've got a 50:50 chance, made it about half way over the w/e. Will play LiS next and should have my thoughts by the end of the month, probably a day late or so because... TRADITION.
Life is Strange: True Colors is lined up as my next game. I voted for it, so I guess I better play it at some point, but it might end up being a hair late. I'm playing Cyberpunk 2077, and while I considered pausing that and playing Life is Strange just to get it in, I'm enjoying Cyberpunk 2077 too much to really want to do that. It will happen at some point though.

A 3 way tie with two of my votes and the third choice I also want to play! Let’s see what happen with all the new member’s votes.
Also, welcome new members!
@KilloWertz enjoy your time with it. I played it after the next gen update and absolutely loved it even though it is still fairly buggy and it is a way more linear story than the Witcher 3
Great idea for a topic, just seen it on the main page. Funnily enough, I got the 1000G on Guardians last night, fantastic Game Pass game. The dialog was on point. Loved the bit with "Don't Worry, Be Happy".
