@jarvismp not a record collector myself but just listen to the music in the game in between the story bits made it all so relaxing. Never really played that kind of game but it was so relaxing compared to the action adventure rpg type of games I play mostly
I've not had the chance to start as I'm still playing guardians of the galaxy but I don't think my plan of watching a play through is going to work for life is strange! The streamer mode in the game cuts all the licensed music out and I've just watched a silent air guitar rock out 😂. The dmca situation is a joke, I'm not going to watch a game stream to specifically listen to a certain song.
I’ve not played any of the Life is Strange games before and I’ve played for 4 hours solid tonight and been really engrossed. Really enjoying it. Great characters. Great acting. In fact it’s better some of the dross on TV these days. Can’t wait to play more tomorow!
@Balta666 Thanks. Yeah, I'm highly enjoying it so far. I do notice little glitches here and there, like Jackie's motorcycle refusing to sit still whenever I did the scene in his garage with Misty, but nothing too bad or out of the ordinary for large open world games.

@XFinest_KnightX I have played it as a first on the series and did not find that it would be needed prior knowledge on the main story. However If you want to play the DLC that story is related somehow to the first life is strange and if you have not played it they will select one ending for you
@KilloWertz I got a few worse things as the game progressed. The worst were text that did not go away unless you reset the game, sandstorm that does not go away unless you go to sleep (even in the city) and a dude I had to fight spawned knocked down on the floor so I could not fight him and had to reload to the previous checkpoint. As a funny one once saw a car launch into the air in front of me from nothing
True colors was definitely the shortest of the 3 but it's story while more compact was still impactful. It's sadly short enough to where you can't fully connect to the cast as much as with the other 2 games. Even tell me why gave the players more time to connect with the cast. Still a fresh take on the series but way to short sadly. I bought the edition with the DLC and remasters of the first game and the spinoff and even with the extra dlc it still felt a bit short.
@Jsb5150 at least tell me why is shorter and I would say the other games may be a bit longer due to being episodic and therefore some areas you tend to lool at everything again to see if something was changed. Imo the game and characthers are well built as long as you take the time to get all memories and speak to / listen to their thoughts.
@Balta666 oh I did trust me I checked out details during the moments in the park and in the record store (don't wanna get into spoilers) and definitely at end game. Even did a second run with different choices. Love the cast really do maybe as much as the cast from the first game tbh .
Definitely not bashing it, just drawing a comparison based on my own point of view.
I originally played TC on PS4 earlier this year and was not impressed by it. When I replayed it on Game Pass, it felt different. Not sure if it was because I played it slower as my wife watched or if I was in a different frame of mind but I enjoyed it a lot more.
I really enjoyed the last part where you are sitting on the roof discussing the future. Was really sweet.
Still not as good as the original LiS or Before the Storm but it is very close
@ZeD You bring up a really interesting point about mood or frame of mind and how it impacts our enjoyment. I've definitely not enjoyed games, books, movies etc. because I was in the wrong mood for it at the time but then really enjoyed them later when I was in a different headspace. Though often we won't give things a second chance, wondering what made you replay it? Glad you liked it more second time around. Did you make different choices?
One small thing. If you are going to discuss plot points, even minor ones, can you put it in spoiler tags as many won't have played the game yet. This can be done by wrapping any spoiler text in brackets e.g. TEXT TO HIDE[ /spoiler] Just remove the space between the '[' and the '/' it will appears like this
[spoiler]TEXT TO HIDE
@themightyant did not know you could spoiler tag in the forums. Thanks for that.
I replayed it as it was on Game Pass and an easy 1000GS (trying to get to 100,000GS this year). I started playing it when my wife was watching and she really enjoyed it, so we decided to experience it together.
I did make a few different choice and it make the town council scene interesting as I only had Steph on my side.
The biggest choice change I made was the ending. I decided to stay as me and my wife realised that this is what Alex has been looking for her entire life and the way Gabe describes it brought a tear to our eyes. I would not want to leave such a beautiful place
