I honestly had no plans of buying the system initially, since I bought an Xbox One and it got zero usage throughout the 5 years since I acquired it. However, now that I'm subscribed to Game Pass and I've started collecting 360 games and achievement hunting, I might actually get Series X eventually.
@FullbringIchigo I still think they'll add more 360 and OG games to the service in the future though. They stopped doing it because they wanted to prepare for the Series X, but I expect they'll resume adding titles after the console's out in the wild.
There's every chance we'll get a heap of new BC titles revealed as part of the launch.
This is my understanding as well. Phil said the program was paused, not stopped, so more additions are very likely. With enhancements, no less. Very exciting stuff!
I’m definitely planning on getting the Series X at launch, I just hope there isn’t limited stock or that it’s delayed for that matter but I’ll be on the Microsoft Store website to pre-order the day we’re able to.
Does anybody know if my digital purchases on my One S will be downloadable on the Series X under the same account? I already play many games I’d love to see enhanced on the SX, like Fallen Order, and will probably buy more before the SX launches, like RDR2 and Cyberpunk.
@nofriendo For the vast majority of games, it certainly seems that way. Cyberpunk 2077 is also confirmed to be getting a 'Smart Delivery' upgrade on Xbox Series X, which means if you buy it on Xbox One, you'll get an enhanced version when you move over to Series X for free.
Thanks for the swift reply, @FraserG, and nice to see load times eliminated from the comments section. Didn’t know purexbox in its previous iteration but enjoying its renaissance. Keep up the good work!
Do we get to mash up your names to create a nickname like FraGil or must we grow more familiar first?
@BAMozzy
There's a fellow around here, who insists that "no thought whatsoever was put into designing [SeX], other than trying to fit all the parts inside". He'd do well to watch this video.
I don't know who that was but maybe you should tag them and direct them to watch the video.
So much thought goes into a console - they don't go round and pick off the shelf parts, stick them together in a plastic box and sell it as a console. There is 'custom' design features built into the APU that makes them completely unique. Yes it may have Zen2 and RDNA2 processors but they are accompanied by unique designed parts built into a single APU. So much thought goes into the design principal but all you see is a 'square' chip and not all the separate and unique design in that APU. Its not like nbuilding your own PC at all...

Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??

Oh, I see what the confusion is. He commented said nonsense in the article regarding the four rubber feet on the side of SeX. That's why I can't redirect him here; I can't remember which article it was.
@gingataisen That's a contradiction in itself. The fact that MS has those feet on the side for horizontal use just shows that it was thought out and designed for use in that orientation. If they hadn't put them on, it would be an oversight in the design process...
