@oliverp I just fired it up last night for about 30 min since it was super late. I'm playing on story which is easy mode 🤣. I hear it's quite scary.
@NintendobyNature. Oh I was extremly temped to buy the game the whole eveing yesterday but becuse of personal resons I decided to hold off a purchase. Not sure how long I can wait though as buying a copyright seems to be one of the best way to support horror games right now. Its also kind of intresting that Remdey at launch seem to be offering the game at a small discount (that kind of them).
I've been on such a horror kick lately that I'm forcing myself to not play the genre for a couple months after I finish dead space remake. I damn near bought RE4R as it was 50% off these past few days. I held out thankfully. I need to play some regular games for a while until I feel like a normal human again lol
@NintendoByNature I'm the same right now, I finished Dead Space Remake and now I'm playing through DOOM 3. I never play two horror games in a row.
But yeah, DOOM 3 is easily one of the scariest games I've played. There are jump-scares all the freaking time. And towards the end of the game, you enter an area that's making me so uncomfortable. Rarely happens with me in games.
After I finish DOOM 3, I really want to play Resident Evil Revelations lol. But I might actually take a break as well and play something else more fitting for the holidays, such as Final Fantasy VII Remake.
@LtSarge doom 3 was scary as hell! I played that a few years back, and it's probably the best doom game I've played if I'm being honest. Still need to play the the new entries, but I like the creepy crawly survival horror version of doom more than the boomer shooter style. Is the section you're referencing hell? I don't recall much of that game other than being on a ship, being terrified, and being in hell at the end. Love it. But yeah, FF7 is a great pallette cleanser. I'm thinking of moving to trinity trigger on switch soon, and maybe rise of the Tomb Raider or gears of war 2 on xbox. Not sure yet
@Nintendobynature Yeah also want to come back to playing some non horror games. Maybe I come that next year (if not sooner). You really got me thinking.
@NintendoByNature Yeah, I'm talking about hell. Even though I'm not religious, it's still so darn uncomfortable being there. The devs have done a really good job of depicting hell.
Not really surprising you don't remember much else considering most of the levels are so forgettable. They all look so similar and the level design is mostly the same, i.e. tons and tons of corridors.
