Just watched Godzilla for the second time. It is better on second viewing as at the cinema I was heartily disappointed but on blu ray my expectations were suitably lowered so I think I enjoyed it more for not expecting as much.

Apparently each and every classic monster I.e. Mothra, Gamara, Rhodan, Mecha-Godzilla, that thing with three heads... they're all owned by Toho, and all came at about the same price as Godzilla (Toho expected a version alike the 1999 film, and a flop). As far as I know, since the success of Legendary's Godzilla (a true 60th anniversary film of the 1954 original), Toho and Legendary have made a deal that will see everything culminate in a "Destroy All Monsters" fashion. Bet your bottom buck that they'll milk it out before we see that, though.

I do know that due to the success of Godzilla Legendary is now planning a King Kong prequel called Skull Island. My guess is that with this in the works and Godzilla they are eventually going to do a King Kong VS Godzilla remake.

To anyone who enjoyed Community (Yes, six seasons and a movie... fingers still crossed) or anything by national lampoon. I will once again recommend Blue Mountain State on Crackle... I've no idea how this passed my radar but it's three seasons of hilarity (a little racy, not for the kids).
Aherm. Anyways. I'm currently keeping up to speed with Parks and Rec's new and last season. It's made me realise that I could never do Korean tv-shows where it's normal to just have one season of a show. I get too attached. I don't want to let go.
Just finished the latest season of American Horror Story (still unsure how I feel about that). Trying to get into Gotham, mostly because I really want to like it due to its legacy (best archive of characters known to the comic world, for example), but it's just meh.

Let me clear my throat...clears throat
Gotham is complete badass? Give it some time, get to know the auxiliary cast. (Said in a Canadian-impersonating-an-inadvertently-rhyming-Viking, voice)
Also, why do they only make one-season TV shows in Korea? That is, if "why" is even a valid question.
Lastly, @TylerTreese I made a UFC thread when I found that Tommy the Green/White Power Ranger fought people/things for a living? Support it (and Tommy)!

lol, I've seen every single episode. The actors have potential and it's a great cast, it's just that the script is tooooo cheesy! The sets look cheap and doesn't fit the environments. The lighting is bad, not to mention the cheesy filters they've overdosed on. The editing is poor and the sound effects even worse. I WANT to like it, I do – the Batman universe hosts most of my favourite characters. It's just... not doing its legacy justice.
Apparently it's a thing in Korea. The tv-soaps are famous all over Asia and run for one single season, most of them with only 10 or so episodes.
Emma "Tito" - the Swankee speaking Swede and quirky blonde.
I watched all of Transparent (on Amazon prime) in two sessions. TBH, I wasn't expecting very much and I was pleasantly surprised. Apart from having to explain to my wife what was what, it was good fun.
10 episodes, Family drama, clues in the name Trans Parent. The father is a transvestite and the rest of the family is 'dysfunctional' in one way or another. Drama/Black comedy. We really enjoyed it. It's very funny in places, touching in others. Very well acted and it treats the subjects of Transvestism and Lesbianism quite sensitively. Occasionally it strays into weird territory and gets a little bit annoying but well worth a watch. Like I said, we watched all 10 episodes in two sittings.
Man Seeking Woman... wow, I've loved Jay Baruchel's work since Popular Mechanics for Kids. What an amazing show this is, very reminiscent of Wilfred with Elijah Wood.
Man Seeking Woman is excellent, I would say it's more like 'Ugly Americans' than Wilfred though.
Also on my radar at the moment:
Catastrophe
Crims
Parks and Recreation
Modern Family
Bans But really I'm just waiting for the return of Orphan Black
Is Ugly Americans about someone whose either tripping, dead, high, in love, or a mix of 'em all as well? I LOVED Wilfred (US), it's in my top 5 with LOST and others... was so sad to see it end.
I'm looking for a funny ha-ha show along those lines so I'll have to check it out, friends have urged me to for awhile.
My radar is, fairly super-hero based ATM
Arrow
The Flash
Gotham
Man Seeking Woman
??? (help Head fill this slot)... (NO jokes about that Red!, unless they accompany a good suggestion)
Well I finally got around to watching Xmen Days of Future Past and I loved it. I thought more of the older Xmen were going to be in it but that was ok. Looking forward to Age of Apocalypse now.

What did you think of the re-casting of Mystique? It seemed they used a body-suit or something on Jennifer Lawrence (as opposed to full body-paint) and in action scenes it was very evident. Great flik though! Surprised me as well.
