TV shows, Netflix series, weekend binges, long-time favorites. What's currently making you rush for the television set?
After a binge of The Flash that had been sitting on my DVR forever, I simply had to go back and give Arrow another chance. I'm fairly glad that I did as the first time around I didn't give the show a fair go. With Season 1 in the bag I'll be pestering my buddy to lend me 2 (we pretty much co-ordinate who buys what).
I'm in something of a super-hero vibe and can't wait for the return of Gotham. Penguin is something else, Young Bruce has just the right amount of darkness, Alfred can kick serious butt. The series is much deeper than I thought it would be, can't wait to see how it evolves.
At the moment I'm watching series 4 of Downton Abbey. I've also been watching shield, flash and Gotham. I've borrowed series 1 of arrow from my brother after seeing the crossover with flash as that was excellent. I didn't get on with it when it was on TV but I'm willing to give it another try.

That is EXACTLY what I did, was curious about Arrow after Flash Ep. 1. Then watched the crossover! It was an excellent handling of the two indeed. Unfortunately I've fallen behind on S.H.I.E.L.D but after catching up with Oliver Queen's adventures, I'll clear up some DVR space and watch the remainder of the new season.
For sure, there are so many series between Cable and Netflix that I'm awaiting, GoT will be great with the Telltale series aside it. South Park has been hillarious with its new running gags. House Of Cards is another one I can't wait for.
Arrow and the first season of Agents of Shield are on Netflix if you need to catch up.
I have been following Arrow since it started and it has become one of my favorite shows. I was for the longest time having a buddy of mine record them on DVD since I dont have any kind of tv but waiting for him to get it to me, um yeah. Luckily my mom got me a Roku stick for Christmas and it came with 3 months of free Hulu Plus so now I am able to keep up with Arrow, Flash and Gotham as well as Chicago Fire, Chicago PD and Law and Order: SVU.
I have to say I was skeptical about Hulu Plus at first but for someone like me who doesn't want to deal with the prices of or can't afford the cable satellite companies Hulu Plus is great.
My wife and I just finished watching the entirety of Eastbound and Down, which ended up being much funnier than I expected it would be. Since then, we've started watching little bits of all the old-school Nicktoons on Amazon Instant Video, like Doug, Rugrats, Ren & Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, and Hey Arnold. We've even been working in some Beavis and Butt-Head for good measure.
I was sick over Christmas, so I pretty much laid on the sofa watching Netflix. Ran through the entirety of 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, and House of Cards (which was REALLY cool) and spied a movie or two. Netflix just added the full run of Friends, so I've been rewatching that, alternating with The West Wing.
Love Aaron Sorkin's writing, but never really watched The West Wing, so enjoying it

House of Cards season 3 is out Feb 27th You chose a great time to binge 'em all.
I know you asked Chao5 but I actually enjoy it. I do find though the links to the Movies quite annoying as I never get to watch the Movies at the relevant time - I wait until they are broadcast on sky movies. It does make some of dialogue a little confusing as it expects you to have seen the movie at the time it is released.

Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??
Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...
@BAMozzy I enjoy it too but I would say that the links to the movies make it better. You may not quite get it if you haven't seen the films but when you do you get the "so that's what that was" moment and if you have seen the movies it just adds an extra dimension. The second season has had a bit of a slow start and has had one really poor episode in my opinion. The last episode aired was brilliant though.
From my perspective, I find those links confusing at best. Part of he reason is due to the timescale between watching the show and watching the movie. As I watch the show on channel 4 and the movies when they come to sky movies (free not paid) there is quite a difference.Sky movies have only just broadcast Captain America: The winter soldier and the second Thor movie in last month or so. I can't actually remember the actual story link in the show or its relevance by the time I see the movie and rarely able to make the connection whilst engrossed in the movie either
Personally I would prefer it to be quite separate in terms of story lines - although I don't mind seeing the same actors/characters crossing over. i can see it from your perspective too and it doesn't stop me from joying either the series or movies in general. I kind of wish though that they broadcast the movies in the right timeline as the series though to help some of the dialogue and refeences make more sense.

I'm only up to Ep5 or 6 so far, but having recently watched the films, the links are apparent. I've had a couple of "ahhh...so that's why" moments. It's pretty good, but I've heard it gets much better.
You don't stop gaming because you get old, you get old because you stop gaming.
I'm not sure we've talked about Fargo anywhere in these forums yet... Has anyone watched the show? I was kind of blown away by it, to be honest. The characters, writing, direction, connections to the movie were all absolutely fantastic. I can't wait to see how they handle season two.
As far as movie links go let's talk Agent Carter and the entire Captain America 1 movie being flashed back to again and again... apart from that stuff I really enjoyed seeing Stark Sr. And Carter in action again.
@DRL I held off on it but now that you say it carries the movie's charm I think I'll binge and break this comics inspired streak I have going. I love the woodchipper scene in the movie... it's just the right amount of psychologically disturbing material.
I just started to rewatch season one and two of Hannibal damn it's still great i love it so much! And i'm starting to catch up on the walking dead.(and a little MLP on the side)But you don't have to worry about that so move on.
The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.
I'm currently playing Faith The Unholy Trinity, Dead Space( remake), Crow Country and Steel Rising.

SPOILER ALERT - The episode where Gideon is served his own leg, yuck. That was the most disturbing piece of television I think I've ever seen!
