It feels like we were waiting ages for Hot Wheels Unleashed to arrive on Xbox Game Pass - mainly because it was supposed to join the service back in December - but now it's finally here, available in its huge Game of the Year format for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
The question is, what do you think of it so far?
Many of us will likely make comparisons here to Forza Horizon 5's Hot Wheels DLC, although this is quite a different beast, developed by the studio behind the likes of MotoGP 22 and the Monster Energy Supercross games.
For what it's worth, reviews were fairly good for Hot Wheels Unleashed when it arrived back in 2021, with the game sporting a Metacritic average of 72% for Xbox Series X (and a high of 78% for PC).
But what are your first impressions of the game on Xbox Game Pass? We want to know down below!
Give us your thoughts on Hot Wheels Unleashed for Xbox in the poll and comments section below.

Anyone who voted "It's not great to be honest" is jaded and doesn't appreciate good games. It's free, comes with like a bazillion cars and tracks, and is just plain fun.
Already owned it. Great arcade racer IMO!
I have some problems with it, but had it before it was put on game pass and it's fun.
It should also be said it is amazing that it came with all DLC on game pass. I was probably never going to buy the batman/monster trucks/looney toons stuff, but now I can try and get those achievements at least. Very Cool.
I like it but for some reason, I am struggling to play it well. I am just not getting on with the drift system.
Its "these are clearly toys" art style gives me fun nostalgic vibes of playing Micromachines on the Megadrive (with its franken-cart) and enjoying the varied designs of the cars, I loved the insane tracks in the Forza hotwheels DLCs and I'm loving it here.
It just sucks I'm not enjoying getting around the tracks. I'm hoping that I'm just doing something wrong (probably overthinking it) and that it'll just click after a while.
I haven’t played it myself but would probably give it a try soon.
It’s ok, it’s a goofy arcade racer. The DLC being free with it makes it fun for a couple rounds here and there.
My only gripe is the lack of 3- or 4-player splitscreen, but 2-player splitscreen is still nice.
Hitting the walls can be a drag. Otherwise fun game
I've never played a Hot Wheels game before but am really enjoying it.
A very fun arcade style racer with a good sense of speed, great drifting mechanic and gorgeous visuals.
What's not to like.
Probably the most underrated arcade racer of this generation so far. It’s a gorgeous game with loads of nostalgia, and it’s just plain fun. I now have it on all 3 consoles. I like it that much, and it’s cheap right now to boot.
@abe_hikura let off the gas on the tightest turns while hitting LT. On smaller curves it’s not necessary, but there’s a nuance with it along with using the sticks. It takes a little getting used to, but once it clicks, it clicks. Plus every car handles completely different, so find one you like and keep upgrading it.
It's really fun. Many of the time trials later on in the game get really hard. I haven't been able to beat them.
Only done a few races so far but it’s really fun and my 6 year old loves it
I gave it a shot last night and thought it was kinda bad tbh. The amount of time it takes to reset is a death sentence. The visuals are a bit generic as well.
It's okay. I'm not sure if I'm fond of the physics or drifting. I already have trouble switching between the drifting mechanics of mario kart and sonic racing, and my brain has a difficult time seperating three completely different styles of arcade drift.
