Still an unreal number of ads. The consoles are expensive and game pass isn't cheap either. There's no justification for the number of ads. Make an ad-free dash a perk of GPU.
I'm not sure why this would mean a ban for the users of the emulators. It's on Microsoft for allowing the software through the cracks. So you can be banned by installing something that was approved and distributed via the Xbox Network? Horrible take. If you don't want emulators on the Xbox, that's fine, then just remove them from the store and ban the people who are uploading them for distribution. Banning end users is beyond stupid.
I see we are now firmly out of the "wow them with AAA games" phase and into the "pad the numbers with indies" phase. This combined with the price hike has me thinking that the overwhelming value days of GP are behind us. It was dope while it lasted.
Physical games are becoming novelty merchandise, sadly. Even if there's a disc, the version on that disc is going to be buggy and incomplete. Every game needs a massive patch on day 1, and if you need to go online to download that you may as well just download the whole game.
@Moonglow Yeah it's super great they didn't give people who want 60fps the option of having it, like almost all other games do. That's great. As if they're not going to be re-releasing this game on every Xbox system until we're all dust anyway.
It also doesn't hold water when I'm sure the PC version will have graphical options. If the reason for 30fps was really "vision" then surely the PC version isn't except, right? You should be locked to 30fps there with set graphical options, right? Of course not. Ridiculous.
Pure nonsense. Games are in development for years. Years. Shaving a couple extra weeks off the end wouldn't help, and even if you could build the argument that it could, not shipping a physical game doesn't even give you those extra weeks. You have those weeks anyway. That's what a day 1 patch is for.
This is pure spin. There is zero upside for the customer.
I really wanted to get this on my Xbox because I've been trying to move away from PC gaming, but they're joking if they think I'm going back to 30fps first-person games, especially ones with combat and precise aiming. I don't care what excuse they've got for why it's not 60 at least on Series X, because I don't want to hear it. It's embarrassing.
