Can you believe that we're only just over two months away from the launch of Starfield?!
We've been waiting such a long time for Bethesda's new sci-fi epic to arrive on Xbox Series X|S and PC (and Xbox Cloud Gaming), and now it's finally about to become a reality - arriving on September 6th, 2023.
We've talked at length here at Pure Xbox about what you can expect from Starfield when it drops, but just in case you missed any of it — or you want to top up your hype levels again — we thought we'd put together a video of 33 things you should know about Starfield ahead of September's launch. You can watch it up above!
Of course, you can expect plenty of coverage from us at Pure Xbox when the game releases, including an extensive review, guides, Talking Points and more. Let's hope this ends up being the masterpiece we've all been longing for!
Is there anything in this video that you weren't aware of? Let us know down in the comments below.

All I needed to know was when it launches. Hyped is probably not the right word for how I feel about it 😃
1. Buy an additional SSD... 😂

I’m starting to get to the point of not wanting to know anymore as I don’t want to get spoilers… super hyped and ready to turn over every rock and play every side quest…
You get 60FPS on Xbox Series X and I'll buy it. But I won't if it stays 30. Period.
@JaffeGaffe that’s ridiculous
I’m not interested from what I’ve seen so far but it’s probably not a game for me anyway. Lately I’ve been playing more retro games than modern games because I find them more fun. I must be getting old.
@JaffeGaffe
A more static world one can’t interact with at 60fps or a much more realistic world at 30fps?? Yeah, for a game like this I’ll take 30fps all day long.
As for my hype level, it’s impossible to be any higher. I remember when salty Sony fanboys started calling it Fallout in space, as if that was some sort of diss or negative in regards to the game. Hearing that made me want it even more, lol. Love Bethesda RPG’s and I have no doubt this will live up to expectations. I honestly can’t wait.
@AlwaysPlaying don't worry if you're scared of getting spoiled, you won't find any in this video. Just some clickbait, a rehash of the Starfield Direct.
I haven’t watched your video but I bet you didn’t mention that in order to play it on day one it’ll cost £35 extra. The peasants that don’t pay up or want to play it via IndiePass don’t get it until day 6. And it’s this blatant cash grab and greed that means I won’t be buying it at all.
Just hope the PC version isn’t locked down like the windows store versions of bethesda games are. I’d like a script extender for this one day, god knows it’ll need it.
I know the PC code is for steam but this is microsoft’s first time publishing a proper bethesda studios title. I’m anxious about what, if any, restrictions there could be because of that, even on steam.
I'm not keeping my hopes high for this game. I've seen soo many games fail to the point where I have no reason to buy or play games anymore. They release in poor, broken states where it got delayed 1-4 times but it still wasn't enough. Corporate greed. "Send it off, we need to launch now". Starfield will be boring
I really wanted to get this on my Xbox because I've been trying to move away from PC gaming, but they're joking if they think I'm going back to 30fps first-person games, especially ones with combat and precise aiming. I don't care what excuse they've got for why it's not 60 at least on Series X, because I don't want to hear it. It's embarrassing.
@Moonglow Yeah it's super great they didn't give people who want 60fps the option of having it, like almost all other games do. That's great. As if they're not going to be re-releasing this game on every Xbox system until we're all dust anyway.
It also doesn't hold water when I'm sure the PC version will have graphical options. If the reason for 30fps was really "vision" then surely the PC version isn't except, right? You should be locked to 30fps there with set graphical options, right? Of course not. Ridiculous.
@Baler Yep me too! That's all I want from a game, The Fun Factor. I don't care too much about realistic graphics and physics etc.

@Moonglow hey absolutely. My hope is at some point they can get the culling/LOD/ dynamic res in there as a option. We can have it both ways. Performance mode, performance RT, and Quality. Cyberpunk eventually came out with all three modes for Xbox and they work wonderfully. If CDPR can do it, not nearly as huge or funded as MS/Bethesda, then there's literally (LITERALLY) no excuse. Don't care about the differences. The planet wireframes get streamed in and build procedurally (NMS?). There's a hundred ways they can do it. They really need to shut up about the AMD partnership because you have EVEN LESS of an excuse to not do it. See my point? Totally doable. They wanted to rush the game out and that's what this is, imo. No offense at all just my opinion
@JaffeGaffe that’s not very nice, period.
@Baler Welp, that's what you get for being a troll. Now scram
