I love the first one and have played it countless times. For all the primitive, badly-dated parts of its gameplay, the story was compelling and engaging throughout.
ME2 I enjoyed a lot, but not as much as the consensus. The individual loyalty missions were great for adding depth and I loved my plays of it, but wasn’t as compelled to replay this one (still have done it four times though!).
ME3 to me was the best game of a fantastic bunch. The combat just felt so slick and the way that it was changed up to make the game more fast-paced was a welcome change. Hiding behind cover on Insanity runs was just not possible, and it made for a real adrenaline rush (people say Andromeda improved this feel but I disagree and hold ME3 as the best for combat). The ending (post patches) I actually enjoyed and felt torn down routes to take during it - and throughout the series.
It’s a phenomenal trilogy and I envy those who are about to experience it for the first time.
I finished up Mass Effect Legendary Edition. And now debating going back in to complete the second one on Insanity difficulty as it’s the only achievement I have left (first game is a doddle on Insanity; third game has some intense bits; but the second one is where the pain truly lives on Insanity mode)
I really hope FFVII comes over because otherwise I have to sort out the faff of borrowing a PS5 just to play that one game. Can totally get how exclusivity is a huge deal for Sony and MS. Unlike Switch, they are directly competing with each-other.
You would figure the timed exclusivity means that either it’s going to come in, or Squeenix is playing a very clever game with Sony
My life will be Mass Effect for the foreseeable future. First a play through to shake my rustiness (on Veteran), then a Hardcore followed by Insanity run on each of the games. Standard Paragon and Renegade play throughs.
I loved the first DA game and completed it multiple times. I found the second to feel shallower and ended up giving up (probably not giving it a fair shot). I am tempted by Inquisition, but there are sooo many of these huge time investment games on my radar
I love GS on games I love — when done well I find they really encourage you to explore. But games that have easy achievements just draw you into playing something that you don’t enjoy. I think it happened to me in the early days with King Kong, and then I stopped because I realised it just wasn’t fun.
But if someone gets their kicks chasing gamerscore by playing rubbish games, then fair play to them!
This would be epic. I’m currently on my ‘Rare’ play through — going for 100% in Banjo, Tooie, Nuts and Bolts; following up with the Yooka Laylees. And I even got me a BK tattoo a few months ago.
To me, nuts and bolts is such an under-appreciated game. I think too many got hung up on seeing Banjo in a ‘not-Banjo’ game.
Tooie was a slighter weaker game but was still brilliant (9/10 for me, with Canary Mary along nearly making it 8/10!). It would be ace to see Banjo back with Rare in any shape or form (wait no... Conker and Project Spark was not fun!)

Re: Xbox Is Giving Away Free Gift Cards For The Xbox Summer Sale 2021
I had one appear late at night. Went to redeem it the next day and it was impossible to find on my app!

Re: Microsoft Flight Simulator Is Getting New Xbox Features Targeted At First-Time Pilots
This is appealing to me more and more. What would seal it would be if I can go online with others and fly alongside friends.
I’ll google to see if that’s part of it. Can imagine great entertainment through flying with others.

Re: Talking Point: Final Fantasy VII Remake's Exclusivity Window Is Up, Will We Hear Anything?
As the username implies — I really hope so! PS exclusivity has frustrated me as I really would only own PS just to play one game
Re: These Five Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass Today (March 15)
It might be more apt to say you will soon need to toss a coin to your Witcher in order to play it (in order to play it — oh-ooh-oh)

Re: Phil Spencer: 2021 Is Going To Be An Incredible Year For Xbox Game Pass
GamePass was the deciding factor in my Xbox versus PlayStation decision. And it made the choice so easy.
Awesome service

Banjo Kazooie, followed by Tooie, as I continue my trend to ignore the current generation and play games from two decades ago!
